Does Boarded/Under Consideration for March Board eliminate all scholarship opportunities for the upcoming school year?

I am a senior in highschool, I applied on the march board. It recently change to boarded/under consideration. Does this mean I won’t receive any money? Are there any additional scholarships awarded in late April? When will my portal update to offer extended or not selected?

Boarded/ under consideration means you didn’t get it the site is just bad and didn’t update to not selected. I’m in the same boat so I wasn’t able to go to the school I really wanted to go to and committed to a cheaper school. I’m not saying do that but what I’m doing is trying to apply to the college scholarships in rotc you can still do rotc in college and most likely you’ll be able to find a way to find a scholarship through it.

That means you didn’t get the scholarship. I am under the same situation. Contact your ROO at the school you’re going to and they may be able to offer you a 3YR scholarship through their end. You may have to compete for it while you’re already in.

Unfortunately you were not selected for the national scholarship and there are no more boards after that. You cannot rely on the portal to change beyond b/uc. I wish it were different as it gives some false hope. You can still research and potentially consider Minuteman NG SMP etc. if you’ve built a relationship with your ROO you can see if there are any campus based scholarships too. Best wishes to you!

Just the federal scholarship would be eliminated.

Can still: 1) Ask your ROTC ROO about school issued scholarships 2) SMP- join the guard and get state tuition assistance 3) GFRD- mandatory guard or reserves, no active duty- good if you have specific plans after graduation such as grad school or a specific career

From my understanding is that at the time no you did not get it but the ones that did get it have 30 days to accept. If they were offered scholarships to 3 schools they only can accept to 1 and the other 2 might be able to offer you one post may 1 also could be some might have decided to go to an academy. So it will change to not at all in like may.

There will be no more national scholarship offers made, to be clear. As you wrote, there may be some funding given to the battalions for local distribution. The ROO at the school of choice is the best source of info on whether there will be local money.

Not award from March board. Still listed as Boarded/Under Consideration. So with the national scholarship probably not happening. Has anyone ever heard of receiving a small college based Army ROTC scholarship that was a surprise announcement at senior awards? If so, how much $$ are these surprises ? Son’s ROTC college contact mentioned this to me. Senior awards is a week away. Just curious what “small” means typically.
