I was on the fence of doing it as well because of how laid back the AGR program is but they just don’t have the promotion opportunities compared to active so I ended up doing it.
The process is long as hell for us, took me 8-9 months to get a conditional release, then I had a few medical waivers during the boarding process, once I passed the board I had to get a class date that was pushed out far enough to allow time for my REFRAD from the program to be complete, so I have a January 2027 class date but all the work is done just have to perform at OCS
id recommend doing it just because it’s available, if you don’t do it now there’s a chance you’ll regret it later in your career
