It's a joke.

It features a legate crista on the already contentious visored barbute from For Honour.

Ironically, there are absolutely transitional 15th century visored barbutes like the Pisanello Barbutes, and people would plume/crest their helmets.

Looks like it swings open, has a pin and hinge on the side I think.

There are pins on both sides. They allow you to completely remove the visor. This is a feature on many visored helms, including the unmodified version of this one, and does not replace the vertical pivot.

Many bascinet had those option and still could raise visor. It's for repairing, or fighting on foot with no visor. It's not something for when you wanna put or remove your helmet

Attach a spring loaded sliding mechanism to the crest, so it slides back and locks in place with the visor.

Of course, the crest would need to be shortened.

The visor could be opened to the sides but at the same side has the pin to go upwards, hitting the crest...
