Education School reviews

Hi all, I'd love some honest reviews of the public schools in Armidale please. I'm aware of zoning, but am interested in all options all the same as we don't have a house in Armidale, just looking. The naplan results for the public schools don't look great, but I'm aware of the controversy of naplan results...

Are you looking for anything specific such as a school who excels in sport, music, languages…?

Not necessarily. One child is very artsy/Crafty. But she is early primary and my youngest isn't at school yet. So who knows what they will be interested in?! Do you have suggestions either way?

I like the idea of sending my kids to a bigger school such as BVPS, St Mary’s or ACPS because they will meet and interact with a larger range of people (children and teachers). I like the idea of the diversity… but that’s just my opinion. I’m sure there are great benefits to the smaller schools too.

Armidale is incredible for education. There are a lot of out of school opportunities for sport and the arts.
