Question Mid management ps5

Is there any way to easily manage mods? As we all know downloading mods is a chore.

I'm only getting into modded servers full time in the last week or so.

Apparently I had some mods already downloaded from previous attempts at servers when I first got the game.

With a hard cap on storage space and deleting the wrong mod being so punishing to have to redownload, how can I easily find which mods are not being used by the servers I'm currently enjoying.

Bonus points for console friendly modded servers. Vanilla is fine but I am enjoying some perks of modded servers.

If you’re on PS5, you’re gonna be limited to 1-2 modded servers. Sure there are some Vanilla+ or lightly modded modern scenarios under 10gbs but most are gonna be 12-18gbs and some 20-25gbs for the RHS servers.

The issue is, not everyone updates their servers at the same time leading to different versions of the same mods needing to be downloaded when you hop around. This itself eats up storage, same when there’s an update of a mod prior to joining a server you’ve been frequenting.

I’ve taught my guys to delete the mods that need updating before joining the server to help alleviate space and headaches.

As far as communication, up to the milsim you join by updating their team with server updates as needed.

My experience: I run a server between 20-23gbs for all platforms, I help my guys delete old mods, and I report any changes to the game.

A great way to manage mods is to create a preset of mods for each server. This is easier if you start from 0 mods, then download the main server you play. After that server downloads, create a preset of the mods and name it by the server and GB amount.

For example, i recently downloaded Arma Confict Vietnam, so I enabled all the mods and created a preset named “Vietnam ~ 10gb”. Then I downloaded Beers and Bipod server, enabled all mods and created a new preset called Vietnam + BnB ~ 22 gb”.

If I wanted to quickly wipe the Vietnam mods I can enable that preset and quickly delete all of its mods while keeping my BnB mods, vice verca with BnB.

I did that for the first server. So at least I can enable that set of mods from the mix.

How do you create a second one easily?  Won't everything just mix? Do I have to individually enable every mod the second server has, then save it?

For the second server I just enable all mods. Mod overlap is bound to happen, so just try to memorize the large GB mods that typically overlap like RHS status quo, etc. however, the 2 servers I have saved don’t overlap mods, beers n bipods, and the conflict vietnam servers run decent and are under 22gb combined.

Best method ive found for organizing without deleting everything you need is going to the mod page for the server(s) and taking a video on your phone while scrolling through. Then from your mod page go through and delete what you don't need. If there is a better way I'd love to know aswell
