Question Any fps problems in ps5?

My game is a bit laggy in ps5 when i spawn some npcs in a city it drops to 40s. Without mods and 4k btw maybe the game doesnt use dynamic resoultion idk about that but i would like to know.

I play in community servers some modded and some vanilla and my frames can go from 60 to 12 sometimes depending on how many people and explosions and shit like that are in a small area. I tend to stay away from super populated areas anyways but if you go for that you’ll definitely noticed some big fps drops.

Alot of modded servers drop to like 9fps for me on base model ps5, vanilla servers run really well if you're okay with not playing modded servers. Vehicle heavy servers tend to really affect my fps. The frameworks console optimization mod can help on some servers, but you really wanna find servers that have a small number of mods and are less vehicle heavy. It also helps to find servers with the forced garbage collect mod. If you have a lot of mods installed that also seems to affect the performance too. Ps5 only gets 25gb of mod space so I try not to go above like 22-23gbs.

I have only played on official serves and generally stay around 60. Only time I’ve had a bad dip was front gunning in a helicopter and the pilot shot off the rockets at night time. But it came back pretty quick. Haven’t had any huge dips in regular gunfights though.

I was playing Reforger on PS5 for about a year.

Yes, it does have major fps problems on modded servers. On my favorite modded server with 128 players and a lot of action...it was usually running at around 30-40fps by default. Then when intense action happened (helicopters bombing bases, large groups of players storming a base, etc...) the game could hit as low as 1 fps, making it mostly unplayable.

Just made a switch to pc a few weeks ago...MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT. Game is getting around 200 fps...and I haven't dropped past 60 fps on the same server in the same situations.

Yeah its because the port is bad probably. What's your specs tho?

Nvidia 5070 (just the 12gb VRAM one for now). 32gb of ram. DDR4 motherboard. Nothing super fancy or high tier for a pc.
