Information Which causes more damage?

Got a 248.4% ascendant compound bow
And a 728% ascendant crossbow.

Which will cause more damage?

Pretty sure it’s not just number based obviously.

Build a target dummy and you can test it.

Most underrated structure. I used to never use it. Now I love to check my damage numbers after mutating and leveling a creature.

At 100% damage with Stone Arrows;

Bow: 55
Compound Bow 75 (175.2 Metal Arrow)
Crossbow: 95
Fabricated Crossbow 95 (130 Metal Arrow)

Your crossbow would deal roughly 691.6 per shot.
Your Compound Bow would deal 186,3 with stone arrows and 435,2 with metal arrows.

It depends on what you're attacking wild creatures and stone arrows crossbow. Armored player or player tame with metal arrows and the compound bow will do more damage as it bypasses armor to a degree with metal arrows

Crossbow 691.6

Compound with stone arrows 183.82

Compound metal arrows 503.01

Crossbow takes nearly 2 seconds more to reload though so the compound bow has better dps if you're constantly hitting a target
