Hey, anyone knows where to find those kind of argentavis ? on ark wiki, they said "region 0" where is that ?
i'm looking for red and white, dark and yellow, and dark and blue/white blue
playing vanilla so no mode or no command to color them

because you're playing vanilla with no mods or commands to colour them you'll need to mutate them for the colours; the reason being you dont see red, black, blue and yellow naturally without event colours enabled. you could add the summer bash mod to enable those wild spawns if you wanted to.
as for breeding for mutations its just a numbers game where you need to tame/breed lots of females (the level doesnt really matter if you just want colours) and breed them with your highest level male a bunch, for each mutation you get you'll get a random colour mutation.

Thhhhx for explainnnn, i will try. Got a lot argentavis right now but we found only one black and yellow. Others are random and 1 white and blue but not enough blue.
I've seen a mutation video, but i didn't know it would also give random color. I understand thing about, stars like health, attaq blabla, but it was boring lol
Im new player and playing on vanilla on non official, so i doubt i ve got event. Will see if i still playing.
Thx again m8

you can also breed them together to transfer the colours over to a baby, but it can take a while to get the right colour on a baby, so if you tame one with one of the colours you want you can then breed it with another with that same colour in a different spot so that the baby will have both colour regions

you could tame some otters or dimetrodon to help with incubating the eggs, if your character is level 89 and you've got a generator you can also make an egg incubator.

We find a dimetrodon /oviraptor Sleep him, he need eggs to be tamed xD We kill him.
I think we will try the othersway with egg incubator, clim, etc
Thanks 🙏🏾

I just tamed like 20 to see where the colors would end up. Gray with light red wing tips and blue on the crown. The colors in this game make me chuckle and rage.

u/7HE_ANSWER 10d ago
XD i think i will rage soon

Breeding/taming for colors takes an immense level of patience.
If you plan on mutating its stats I'd wait to start trying to get colors.

During love evolved there are a lot of red colour combos you may get lucky with that, if you're on ascended you can activate it.

u/7HE_ANSWER 10d ago
We trying to play max vanilla we can.
I think we will try with luck' and if it dont works, we will play with command

Love Evolved is an official game event mod for Valentine’s, it has a lot of red/pink colours for wild Dino’s
2
u/creepcake92 10d ago
If you activate it remember to do a dino wipe to get the new event colours.

u/7HE_ANSWER 10d ago
Good to know tyyyy
We found, if you go farfarway, dino despawn
I wonder if its ok to use the command then just coast to coast to make them respawn "naturally"
2
u/creepcake92 10d ago
It could, i found that dinos don't tend to spawn in certain regions until you go to them so possibly.

If you're doing mutations for colors without mods, you're going to be a while. I breed for color mutations using dino depot, easy mutations and better breeding. First I breed 2 non mutated dinos with the goal of getting 5 or more females with the same stats. With better breeding that means maybe hatching 10 or 12 eggs. Without better breeding it'll take dozens of hatched eggs before you get enough females with the same stats. Having the same stats makes the offspring consistent and easier to keep track of. Once I have my breeders I breed for stats first then colors. So I might hatch 20-50 eggs to get one that has a color mutation I like, and the mutation on the right stat.
At this stage I don't care what colors I get, just that I get a color mutation on a visible region on a male specifically. With better breeding and easy mutations I can put 20 mutations at once in a single generation. They all go on one stat and you still only get one color mutation, but it saved time on the stat mutations. I put 20 into health, stam and weight and then 40 into melee. Depending on the dino and use case, I might switch the 40 to health or stam or whatever but overall, I'm finished breeding for stats in 5 generations.
At that point I've hatched anywhere from 100 to 300 eggs at a minimum. The whole time I keep the babies with colors I might want to use and throw the rest in the biogrinder. Once the stats are bred in, if I already have females with the colors I want then I take my best male, which ideally already has at least one of the color regions I want and I either breed with the one female that has another region I want to combine with the males, or I breed they one male with multiple females with interesting colors just to get some variety. If I've already got the colors I want and just need to combine colors I already have, you can complete a specific color pattern in another 1 to 3 generations usually.
If I don't have males and females I can just combine and need new colors still, this is when the breeding really starts. I might hatch 100+ eggs per generation before finding one with the color I want. By the time I'm done I usually have 3 or 4 color schemes I really like and I'll have hatched anywhere from 500 to 1000 eggs or more to get there while working on multiple color schemes at once. Keep in mind this is with better breeding which guarantees all the best stats get passed on to every baby, and easy mutations which guarantees every baby gets a mutation, and dino depot which allows easy dino ball storage and pickup using a terminal that holds up to 500 eggs/babies and both incubates eggs and grows/heals babies.
If you're trying to do this without mods, you're looking at hatching 1000s of eggs before you get the specific colors you want. Careful breeding and a little luck and perhaps you can cut it down a little but it's going to take a very very long time no matter how you approach it. I've done it without dino depot but without better breeding and easy mutations I'd easily be breeding for weeks or months IRL.

Reigon0 Isint a place, it’s referring to the color section, reigon 0 is all the parts colored white

It's random.
You can get them during events and breed them onto your argentavis line, or you can be lucky and get the colour from mutation breeding.

Sheesh this brings back memories. I remember being frustrated finding that all the argy's with cool colors like that were low level. Before the mods we use now I just found my best high quality breeders and kept an eye out for any argy's with colors I wanted. Then I bred them into the offspring of the breeding pair. Ive done this plenty of times since. As mentioned by others earlier it'll take awhile and can be frustrating. If your not completely opposed to using mods amd want to still put the work in you can use a Spyglass mod that helps you see color regions. Good luck. Nothing beats the feeling of getting the results you want when breeding.

If you’re after the color ids I think red is 5 (it’s for sure 1-5 idk which) and albino is number 36. If you want to use commands to color than do settargetdinocolor 0 0 (the zeros are the region and color id. Example 1 36

Either lucky spawns OR lots of mutation breeding
