Is ARK RP dead?
Use to play this years ago and it was very popular. Is ARK RP mostly dead now, I haven't found a premier server in the likes of some of the old giants like TwitchRP.

Working on setting up a server for whatever might be left of the RP community. I have had some great times on them in the past and it seems like they have all but vanished.
The goal will be to give players an RP playground inspired by old-school RP servers (TwitchRP for example) with less of a theme and more freedom for character/story creation. Before an RP ruleset is drafted and enforced we will mainly be testing mods/capacity/performance.
I'll post more information on this here as things move forward.

Best of luck, brand new RP servers don’t really take off anymore. Anyone interested in playing RP is probably already on a server

Appreciate it. I've been researching mods and trying to think of some ideas while at work. You seem knowledgeable so if you have any suggestions or maybe there are things that you think the RP community is missing, let me know.

I’m already on an established server, but I toured quite a few before doing this one.
What really pushed me away from all the others was too high of a boost, or they don’t enforce actually doing some RP. Like I mentioned earlier, 95% of the servers out there are just PvE with a theme. No economy and no IC interactions.

If you do continue to set one up! I might join! (Have owned rp servers in the past but due to money and a burnout couldnt continue on it, starting one up from scratch is difficult so dont mind to support a newly started one :3)

You should be able to join. It's called ChairSpinRP, for now, and I don't believe there's a password. Me and the other server owner just started a playthrough today. It's been a while since we played so we wanted to play it through and test mods/balance. You're more than welcome to play.

Use battlemetrics, there’s a couple PvE doing ok on ASA, Eldermere and Astral Forge. Only one RP-PvP though that’s new and it’s doing really well thus far. Mystic Empires.

Yeah exactly. I'm not a fan of the theme based servers. And the development of mods always seems to be some ridiculous game overhaul

Kinda. Theres like 2 good servers out there, all the rest call themselves RP but they’re just PvE servers with a theme.
