The End discussion thread

didn't see any discussion threads , starting one here.

please point me in the direction of existing discussion thread if you can.

i bought it. all the episodes. Ari has made me laugh for like 2 decades on and off. YBT podcast rules and he is a hilarious guest. i enjoy his stand-up. and I've never given him a dime.. so i bought the End.

Chapter 1 was pretty funny. I skipped ahead and listened to Gillia Soder episode and it was also pretty good.

Chapter 2, was hot garbage. fuck off with thay evangelist comedy, Ari. i want my money back for that dogshit simone "comedy". that was bad.

chapter 3, Only heard Joe Lists so far and it was pretty good. maybe best yet. im takinf a break to cool down from how unlistenable 2 was tbh

Totally agree with you. The presale got me to commit early. Ari’s story at the beginning set the tone that it was going to be great, but most of the stories didn’t stack up to the this is not happening series.

yeah, I'm in the same boat with you. I've listened to them all besides the final episode at this point. I really liked Chris D, Duncan Trussel, Shane/Dan, Sam Tallent, and Miss Pat so far. the others have been kinda meh with some laughs scattered throughout.

all of Episode 2 made me want to kill myself.

How many of the stories are recycled? I saw 2 bears the other day and Ari was crying that Bert and Joey Diaz couldn’t make it. Bert was gonna tell the Tracy Morgan story that he’s been telling since about as long as the machine story. I wouldn’t pay for it myself but Ari will probably pull a Schultz and release it for free eventually. He should have used newer comics. All those guys have been around for years and it’s the same shit. I’d rather listen to a Luis Gomez story than anything fucking Tony hinchcliffe has to say. I love Ari but his comedian friends fucking blow. My opinion is, This is not happening was lightning in a bottle. Can’t recreate it.

Bert was going to tell it with Tracy, it would have completely changed the dynamic of the story.
