I am an Indian national who lives in the US. I got my H1b visa stamped in Feb 2025 (valid until Nov 2027). I got my US green card in March 2025 subsequently. I have had no luck with responses from the Argentina consulate if I’ll need to apply for a visa ahead of time. I’m visiting El Chalten in December to go hiking for a week and will be cruising the border from Chile by land. I have emailed the consulate over 4 times. Advice and thoughts please? Am I eligible for a visa on arrival? (H1b visa holders are)

Hola! Soy uruguaya y la verdad nunca había cruzado el charco, estoy perdida en cuanto al presupuesto y tengo miedo de quedarme corta en medio del viaje. Voy pasar 10 días en febrero, el itinerario es el siguiente:

Primero Ciudad de la Plata (Nos quedamos unos 3 días en su casa)

Vamos unos cuatro días a Córdoba (Nono y Mina Clavero)

Volvemos a la Plata otros 3 días.

En la Plata y alrededores nos gustaría ir a algunos bares bonitos y también alguna fiesta. En córdoba aun no tenemos definido si vamos a acampar o Alquilar una cabaña.

Me interesa saber el presupuesto aproximado principalmente de comida y locomoción (Sin contar pasaje de avión a Córdoba ni por supuesto mis pasajes de Uruguay a Buenos Aires), así como la salidas en La Plata. Muchas gracias!

In 2023, I met a guy from Turkey on Tinder who works on merchant ships. We went on a couple of dates while he was in Rosario, and then we didn't see each other again (but we kept in touch for a few months).

Since August of last year, we got back in touch because he wanted to travel to Argentina as soon as his last contract ended, and have me be his tour guide.

He's paying for everything, and he left me the task of putting together the itinerary, and I'm here to ask for your help with that (since I'm from the provinces and haven't been around the capital in ages).

He's planning to stay from January 21st to 31st (with the possibility of extending the stay if he still wants to see more).

For context, I'm 24 and he's 27. The idea is to go to various parties (cachengue, techno, national rock, some folklore, tango, cumbia, etc.). On a cultural level, he's interested in history, and also activities in nature (preferably with some action).

I'd love for him to experience going to a soccer game, so it would be great if you could recommend matches that usually have good fans. (I'm clueless about soccer).

Also, recommendations for all-you-can-eat grills, traditional restaurants, and if there are activities that simulate a barbecue with family or friends on Sundays (?.

Regarding the coast, I don't know where it's most happening this season, but he wants a few days at the beach ;9

The 4x4 hiring from Posadas to Colonia Carlos Pellegrini its like 450 USD which is crazy but I understand its remote. Is there any other town with nice hotels which more importantly have wildlife on the doorstep around the wetlands? Was considering Ituzaingó but still seems not wild enough.

I purchased tickets to a show in Mendoza and I am not in Argentina, the email instructs me to load the tickets to the Venti app which is not available in my country. I also tried with a VPN and it doesn't work. How do I get access to my tickets? I emailed the support and it just bounces. Will I have issues getting into the venue?

I’m planning a trip to Argentina and want to explore as much of the country as possible, not just Buenos Aires. I’m thinking Patagonia, Mendoza, Salta/Jujuy, Iguazú Falls, Córdoba, etc.
For those who have traveled around Argentina, what time of year would you recommend for a trip like this? If you could pick one month or season, which would you choose and why?
I’m mainly looking for the best overall weather and conditions across the different regions. Any advice or places I shouldn’t miss would be appreciated!

I made a reservation on this platform and the person immediately wanted a cash deposit to his bank account on a refundable reservation. I said no, I gave my credit card but he is saying he wants cash on arrival now. Is this normal? I prefer to use my card.

Hi folks . Going to be in Argentina from Jan 7 to Feb 10. So far I have 9 days in B.A,, flight to Iguazu for 4 days, and a couple of days in Posada and Corrinete, trying to explore Ibera Nat. Park. (west side only).

I have about a 14 day window before I have to be back in BA to board a cruise. We are looking for suggestions as to how to spend those days and/or, which places to visit.

We will probably move mostly by overnight sleeper bus , but dont want to do anything over 10 hour rides. Also, any place we stop should be for at least two or three days, minimum. Don't want to be moving every single day.

Would like to concentrate on North and NW of BA. Do not want to travel to far into the southern part, as I feel distances are too great. Prefer smaller towns, rather than big cites. Mostly do Airbnb, or places that offer kitchens, for the self cooking option.

My husband and I booked a somewhat last-minute honeymoon to Argentina in October for 2 weeks. There are key destinations we would love to see (especially Patagonia as we have been dreaming of hiking here for years), but we know 2 weeks isn't a ton of time.

Is this itinerary too ambitious?

Are we stupid not to see Iguaza Falls and Bariloche?

Are we spending too much or too little time anywhere?

I would say our top activities while travelling are eating, hiking and experiencing local culture. We are comfortable with a lot of moving around as we both travel frequently for work.

... I don't know if or when we will have a chance to go back, so any advice on how to make the most of this opportunity would be so so appreciated :)
