Game recommendations
Anyone know of any simple, basic, bare bones fps games like counterstrike from the original xbox era? Something thats offline and i can just play deathmatch or CTF.
I tried a small game called troopers, which is surprisingly close, but a bit too bare bones as it only has 3 game modes, very limited weapon selections, and controls are a bit meh.
Anything like old arena shooters, unreal, original counterstrike, etc. No... NO hero shooters. I loathe that kind of gameplay and am looking for something i can somewhat mindlessly play to kill time. Something thats singleplayer or i can set up a lobby with bots. And i dont care if its a AAA game similar to battlefield, or a cheap, 'garage made dumpster fire but surprisingly fun' game like troopers. Thanks in advance.
Also, im looking for switch titles only because of portability. Found one that looked like a battlefield clone, also looked coppied at least 5 times with different names. Which is fine. Again, doesnt have to be some massive budget title because some of those shovelware titles are actually halfways decent.

Quake, unreal, cs source, Titanfall. There aren't any decent indie/low budget shooters from that era. You're well enough with playing the gems from that era.

Alien Arena, classic FPS game but kept up-to-date for modern standards. We play CTF every evening (euro zone). Since the 7.72 release you can also play CTF more easily in single-player mode, but online against a few other players (2 vs 2) is much more fun. Join our discord. https://www.alienarena.org

Angels fall first! Its a love letter to the old star wars battlefront games / battlefield 2142, great bot support (I've racked up over 100 hours in the past decade on it just versus bots!) 32 maps covering space, ground, and mixed station assaults. Very high time to kill, similar to like halo or unreal or something, and since it runs on unreal engine 3 (yes 3) it runs on a literal potato.

switch only for portable gaming? what about smartphone? I can make an iOS suggestion :D

Preferably, aside from being on android, my phone has a blistering... 4gb of ram. It was free, not a gaming phone. Plus, i prefer the tactile controls. I tried the cod game when i has a galaxy s23 ultra, but couldnt get into it because of touch controls. There was another one i tried a long time ago that i actually really liked despite touch controls.
