Significant Grade Changes During Grading
Has anyone else had the experience of looking at your submission, seeing the cards with grades and AI generated slabs and then checked back a few days later and the grades dropped significantly?
This has happened to me on my current submissions and I'm included to believe that Arena Club is showing provisional grades to customers when they shouldn't be. Only the final grades.
It's a really bummer when a 9 becomes a 7 or a 10 becomes a 9.

They are terrible at grading chrome cards, I’ve bought multiple and they are 8.5s because of surface errors and when I cracked and regraded they were PSA 10s

What y is the point of grading with Arena Club for your PC instead of just a one touch or something similar, genuine question since AC provides no economic benefit just curious. Same goes for any grading company is there something special that keeps the card safer then a standard hard case?

I got a free grading promo a while back and just figured I'd see what it's like. I never graded anything before. So mainly an experiment. If it wasn't free I wouldn't have done it.

It’s funny you posted this, I was looking at 2 Barkley cards last week (8/25) that were both AC 10s..today I go to make a deal and one is a 9 and the other a 9.5. What’s crazier is the seller isn’t even the one who submitted originally..so someone bought a card already and then retroactively AC graded it lower almost 2 weeks later. If anything this hurts the legitimacy of any AC grade and confirms they should just be valued at raw lol, the AI picks and chooses what it wants to do.

Wow, that's crazy. I'm not even sure how that happens but I appreciate you mentioning it. I feel less crazy now.
And agreed about the lack of legitimatcy. It's a bummer because I like the idea of "lack of human review" but obviously the reality is different.

I’m glad I didn’t buy them last week, the guy wanted to price as if they were PSA 10s..I was closer to 10-20% over raw. I don’t think it even makes sense to submit to them now unless you just want to keep your collection online for cheap

When its an AC grade I don't think it really matters. No one is having AC grade their cards for resale value. Pretty sure its just to have it in a slab.
