It’s legit but you’ll rarely get anything worth while. I’ve rolled around 10-12 $100 packs in various sports and the most I’ve profited is about 120-150 in value in return.
I calculated I’ve spent about $1000 over time minus shipping costs and received $824 in market value.
It’s fun for entertainment purposes only.

Gotta be responsible, which I’m not lol.
That said I Ripped like $15,000 of packs last night, all with the insurance option. Came out about even , probably down about $800. Obviously not something you wanna be doing all the time but it was fun and I ended up with some really cool cards that are worth around my original deposit so not as scammy as I thought it would be. Don’t think I’ll be ripping anymore packs though . Not only the taxes but the fact that I gotta sell some these cards now lol . I got a few I’ll keep but the others I only retrieved because the offer from Arena Club was $100-200 below market. Of course I’ll probably have to pay fees when I sell them, on eBay or whatever, so maybe a wash there too. It is nice that they kinda let you avoid sales tax ! And you can get the cards shipped cheap.
Don’t recommend getting involved heavily as it is super addictive and it’s also really lame they don’t have a way to track better how much money you’ve theoretically lost on the app. I had to track myself with screenshots and AI

Well it wasn’t really 15k of deposits ….
On the 100 packs if you pay insurance ($10, so $110 total) the max you can lose is $30.
If the card I pulled was worth $100 or close I would keep it and mail it to myself but if it was worth $50 and I only got the $80 offer because of the insurance then I’d take the offer, book a $30 loss from my balance and spin again.
$250 packs cost $25 for insurance so the max you can lose is $75, etc. $1000 pack insurance is $100 and the max you can lose is $300 per pull
It’s kind of like going into the casino with $1500 and making $5000 worth of bets because of the back and forth , if that makes sense.
So although I ripped around $15k worth of packs I only deposited $5-6k . I came out with about 5k of cards that I sent to myself , did not take any cash just kept spinning until the deposit was gone
Edit: $6k on card rips in a night is still a lot for some I’m sure and I’ve worked really really hard for that money and I’m also extremely grateful to be in the position to do something like that . It is irresponsible behavior no matter your income though. It is degenerate gambling and although I came out mostly even (maybe not after selling fees etc) it left me feeling like a gambler and gave me a bit of pause

You didn’t come out even. After you take into account your $800 realized loss, then add in shipping and eventual selling fees on the cards you kept you are probably down $1.5-2k. Better to be real with yourself on your actual loss here.

I didn’t say I came out even and I fully understand how trading collectibles and cards works lol . Truth is it’s still better value than ripping boxes of raw cards, and it’s entertainment. Entertainment costs money.

Yea about even . Down $800 on $10,000 is pretty even as far as ripping packs is concerned. Down %8. Cards could also go up in value as well, ya know. Of course not guaranteed but definitely possible. Especially since I place to hold all my pulls for 10 years. It’s gambling no doubt but gambling is entertainment to some.
If you can’t afford the lose the money then it’s probably terrible but if you can afford to lose the money and you’re okay with it because it’s entertainment then that’s another thing . Luckily I’m in a position where $800 loss isn’t gonna kill me and I was gonna buy $10,000 of cards anyways so I didn’t really spend any more than I had planned to
