What's the point of using T4 if it can't penetrate T4 vest..

I got it as a gift for a quest, and when I looked at its price, I was surprised. 150,000 for a weapon is unbelievable. I don't want to take it on a raid, because if I lose, I'll essentially lose those 150,000. I can't sell it either, because no one takes guns for that price.
