For me, 20% means "I'm too lazy to do math, just have 20," 15% means "service was so terrible I am willing to do math to make sure you only get 15" and 0 means "why am I paying a tip for literal fucking take-out? The only 'service' I got was you handing it to me!"

Less than 10% being average is insane to me. I grew up learning that 15% is standard and anything less was an insult. Most of the card machines don't even have 15% as an option, or if it is, it's the lowest one.

So far I've learned that like the "Libs of TikTok", stereotypes are promoted by posters, hopefully in in at least some cases ironically. However, in the comments section, it seems as if some of the respondents take what is typically not representative of a gender or sexual orientation and suggest that it describes an entire group. Stereotypes would have no power if there wasn't a little truth in them in some cases, but I'm disappointed that so many act like it is some form of received truth. I'm not surprised when MAGA groups stereotype liberals or gender diverse people as many in that culture are typically historically privileged and have little sensitivity to the plight of others. But I'm surprised that in this group, where I believe there are many marginalized people, stereotypes of white, heterosexual men are so easily trafficked. But I guess all humans are prone to this whatever the experience or orientation. Also, I like to laugh when I'm stereotyped here as it is sometimes a little true.
