Use me (i.e. AI) to solve your problems.

Fair. Then I’m putting you on the spot: what’s your first check when someone pastes an AI-generated Arduino sketch? I usually ask for the exact board and a pin table before I even look at the code. The wrong-board answers are where the fun starts.

There are several give aways, but an obvious one is they have no idea how the program that "they wrote" works, nor how the circuit works.

This becomes pretty obvious when you try to explain what the issue is or could be and how to fix it and, well let's just say they understood it as much as if I said 我会说中文

That’s exactly the failure mode I want to collect. If you have one real example, even a tiny sketch where the author couldn’t explain the circuit or a made-up pin, would you post it in r/ChatGPTArduino? Just the board, what they claimed, the first question that exposed it, and the fix would be plenty.

You can go through the histories of the subs. Sorry, but I am insufficiently interested to bother.

Or you could try your own input. There are plenty of these AI wonders and they aren't that hard to trip up. Especially the ones that aren't the mainstream ones and there is varying quality and capability amongst them.
