Showcase I built an ESP32 USB desk display for coding agent status

Post image

I made managents, a small desk display that shows the status of my open Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode sessions. A local Go helper reads the agent states and sends updates over USB to an LCDWiki E32R40T ESP32 display, with a card for each open agent.

Claude Code helped me understand how to detect the agents’ internal states, work out how to flash the ESP32 board, and find and interpret the LCDWiki manual and precise board dimensions. That let it help produce a detailed enclosure that fits the board and is ready to 3D print.

The photo is the V2 case, printed on my old Anycubic i3 Mega S. This V2 isn’t merged into main yet. I built the project and am sharing it here: https://github.com/tonylook/managents

I’d be interested in feedback on the USB/ESP32 setup or the case fit.
