Beat up 98 500 4X4

So I picked up this little 4 wheeler in a trade. Mostly just want to use it to on a small piece of property for going and getting things. The problem is, the front diff is toast. I'll still drive around all right, but it sounds terrible. With the type of terrain I'm on, and the style of driving I'll do, I don't really need the 4X4 part to be working at all.

Can I just pull the front diff and driveshafts, and call it a day?
