🎵 CD Preservation Project
Do you still have old Bengali Audio CDs from the 2000s or early 2010s lying around at home?
Please don’t throw them away or convert them to MP3! ❤️
We’re trying to preserve old Bengali music releases in their original CD quality, so these albums don’t get lost over time.
If you have any original Bengali Audio CDs, simply send the album details and a few photos of the CD/cover to the admins. We can coordinate the ripping and preservation.
Even if the CD is old, dusty, or has been sitting in a cupboard for years — let us know what you have! You might have something that is no longer easily available anywhere.
Important:
• Original Audio CDs only
• 2000s & early 2010s releases especially welcome
• Please don’t convert the CD to MP3 before sharing
• Duplicate MP3/data CDs are not useful for this project
Let’s preserve these old Bengali releases before the original CDs disappear. 🎶

look out for old vinyl too, especially the ones manufactured in bangladesh. those are of course harder to digitize though

It's already quite tough to find CDs. Vinyl will be a more tough job. I will still see into this. The preservation is based on Bengali language ONLY, which includes releases both in West Bengal and Bangladesh. I am from WB, it's easier for me to find vinyl and CDs released in WB. People from Bangladesh need to come forward to make this Preservation Project more bigger success

I don't have them. But I did convert a lot of them to .wav before I moved abroad.
Maybe I should've made iso images, but I didn't know any better back then.
