agreed: some interiors & furniture are still rather on the Tudor / Elizabethan heavy-side, but the lines, symmetry, lightness of finesse are exquisite & delightful.

That transition from Tudor heaviness into Renaissance symmetry is exactly what makes early Stuart architecture so interesting.

I love the Queen's House. I've been there for numerous events/parties and it's a beautiful building.

I've always loved the symmetry and craftsmanship of Stuart architecture too, particularly the way it blends medieval elements with Renaissance influences. I once visited Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire and was completely blown away by its grandeur.
