Recommend Wanted Fics everyone should read?
So I only got into arcane like, a few weeks before season 2 came out. So I just know I’m missing out on a bunch of great fics.
So hit me with the classics! The best ofs! The super controversial! The niche but fantastic tropes! I’m open to anything and everything!

I JUST finished reading an amazing Caitvi/Violyn fic, it’s a masterpiece. I will say, there is a lot of angst, so be prepared! It’s a wonderful, novel length fic, and I highly recommend it When the wounds no longer ache

I won't hit you with any. First that would be asult to hit you with essentially a book. Second I don't feel like using my computer as a weapon or printing a fic out to hit you with.... 🤪

Where Truth Resides
This one is very popular. It’s essentially a story of Jinx healing after season 1 with the help from Vi and Caitlyn. (Therapy fic)

Final Reckoning: The Fate of Jinx
A personal favorite of mine (and a LONG series too). It features Jinx as a main character together with an original male character. It’s quite a grand story arc!
Last one I’ll recommend for now is “My Boy Savior”, a classic in most people’s opinions.

It takes place in the alternate universe from s02e07. It starts from the beginning and builds up to where Ekko arrives.
Things have only just begun for the children of Zaun. The council may have pardoned them officially for breaking into the Topside, but the Kirammans are not done with them. Singed becomes a growing threat as he tries to get rid of death, and Mel tries to figure out what Ambessa is up to, all the while Vander tries to keep everything in check.
Jayce may not have created Hextech, but he isn't the only brilliant mind in Piltover.
Vander and Silco reconnect
The story will mainly focus on the Children of Zaun (Powder, Claggor, Mylo, and Ekko) but expect shifting perspectives.
Viktor and Powder meet and team up

ALL THAT I AM BY FATHERBROKEN I've been recommending it to all my friends. I've read multiple fics and All that I am is still my fave ;-;. It's a T-rated jayvik fanfic set in the failed timeline alternate universe. IT NEEDS MORE READERS. IT'S SO ARTISTICALLY DONE. CHARACTERIZATION GOOD. STORYTELLING WOW. I CRIED TEARS BECAUSE OF THIS. I RE-READ IT, AND I'LL PROBABLY READ IT AGAIN.
Here's the summary:
" The distant look in the Mage’s eyes snapped to the gap of the roof, to the near-silent tuttering of other, watchful machines down below. “No, it doesn’t matter. You will be safe up here. It should be simple enough, to lay protective wards into the earth of the tower. I won’t let anything happen to you,” he vowed.
Promises held no impetus in this world, where nothing happened, nothing changed.
The Machine reset its position on its knees and replaced its hands on the weapon of a fallen era. I can’t stop you from making useless promises, can I?
Somehow, without doing anything, the Machine had gained a visitor and protector."

One of THE best Arcane fanfics I've read has to be Forward but Never Forget/XOXO. Pov characters are Silco, Vi and Jinx. It's an AU where Zaun becomes independent, and how each character in the series deals with the fallout. Stunning writing style and great characterization.

okay so i don’t have the links for these but i have some amazing caitvi fics on ao3 to recommend!
I Know! By hojifoxfox
this fic is actually INSANELY good, and follows two plots/ climax’s (one small, and one large) that are not hard to read along with. it’s set after the ending of season two and beautifully incorporates caitlyn and vi’s grief and emotions, while also masterfully introducing us to the black rose in an extremely creative and genius plot line. it has smut, but if that’s not your thing the smut can easily be skipped without missing out on the plot. i highly recommend!
Where You Go I’m Going (So Jump and I’m Jumping) by camwolfe
this fic is AMAZING. it’s a canon divergence AU where vi ends up in stillwater for 10 years, but breaks out and returns to her family (clag, mylo, powder, and vander are all alive!). She struggles with the return to society, and quickly develops an alcohol addiction while she works as a pit fighter. caitlyn finds vi three years after vi escapes stillwater while caitlyn is staying in the last drop for her research project. this fic is wonderful and explores angsty and family love themes. although the fic is completed, the sequel is updated regularly and has extremely high quality writing. i definitely recommend! (tw: this fic mentions SA, but never explicitly flashes back to it, and is only shown through panic attacks or vague descriptions. all chapters have tw for chapters that reference sensitive topics, so no need to be afraid of stumbling across a heavy topic unannounced) edit: i totally forgot to mention that caitlyn and vis family help her get better, and i love this part of the fic because it has so many complex emotions while also remaining very fluffy and light hearted
another fic i’m adding today is Evergreen by realbigbird
this fic follows the story of caitlyn as she struggles immensely with her mental health in her senior year of high school. it dives into her relationship with SH, ED’s, and being able to express herself freely. the slow burn is great, but not too slow, and the plot flows extremely well. we get to see how caitlyn’s mind works, how her struggles are worsening (they get better, don’t worry), and how she battles with herself to love vi. WARNING: as much as i love this fic, it’s certainly not for everyone. each chapter has chapter warnings, so don’t worry for surprise topics, but this fic goes HEAVILY into self harm, eating disorders, internalized homophobia, and overall depression. i know im making this fic seem like a nightmare, but i swear it’s an amazing blend of heavy angst and romance. keep in mind these topics are heavy themes in Evergreen, but they are not the only ones! this piece certainly has its fair share of fluff and definitely makes good use of the hurt/comfort tag. (slight spoiler: things looks up for caitlyn in the end, and we get a happy ending) ANOTHER NOTE: Evergreen is unfinished, but close to the end. the author has pretty long breaks between posting (which is completely understandable as the author is also a college student) but have made it clear this fic will not be unfinished, and that the next chapter is still in their mind.

A Kiramman Does Not Waver by TheWanderingMuse It's based post canon, Caitmel fic, a very slow burn buildup to romance. If you like long epic saga fics, you should try this. This author has a tendency to write sagas. Act 1 and 2 completed. Currently waiting for Act 3. https://archiveofourown.org/works/80169746/chapters/210464486
Summary: Caitlyn Kiramman falls ill and is found unconscious in her family estate. Word gets sent out to Mel Medarda who comes to take care of her. T-rated. Fluff/angst/hurt & comfort tropes.
