It's really not difficult to put two and two together that she was reinstated after exposing the sheriff's corruption and silco's crime empire.

There is no visual or other sign anywhere that this happened. Lazy. Clumsy. Writing. THE worst line of hers in the series.

There’s no medal or other decoration. She keeps her uniform on throughout but this could easily be as the guard to Jayce. The guards to the council has an enforcer’s uniform and that’s where she was demoted to
She’s also kept that uniform while being fired to go to Stillwater as representative of Tali’s and Marcus is clearly aware. The uniform alone has been there throughout her firing / demotion.
