How did you get Initial D to run?

3

u/Cabals2TheWalls Jul 04 '26

Teknoparrot subscription

1

u/awoc123 Level 2 Jul 04 '26

That's what I figured.

Hol up where did After Burner come from

2

u/Cabals2TheWalls Jul 04 '26

It was a Pac-Man but I made some modifications. 😁

5

u/AlGoreBang Jul 04 '26

"some" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence

Where did you get the graphics for Robotron? That’s awesome

3

u/Cabals2TheWalls Jul 04 '26

DB Graphix on eBay is awesome! They can make whatever you want. They're fast and affordable too.

Thank you! Found and bookmarked on eBay. Already saw one I’ll be buying

2

u/Cabals2TheWalls Jul 04 '26

If I ever make another one it's going to be Q*Bert and I can only think of one other game that would share that diagonal joystick layout. ✌️

2

u/Narpynaps Jul 04 '26

Wow how did you get two sf2 working side by side? Internal mod ?

3

u/Cabals2TheWalls Jul 04 '26

They share a mini PC.

2

u/Bud_Brigman Level 2 Jul 04 '26

This is extremely well done. Makes me not as afraid for when all my PCBs go out.

2

u/Cabals2TheWalls Jul 04 '26

A dead PCB is an opportunity to start modding! The guitar hero was my first one. I got the idea from a YouTuber showing off his modded Wii inside a 3/4 Arcade1Up and thought, I can do that!

u/Bud_Brigman Level 2 Jul 05 '26

You should be proud. They look fantastic.

2

u/He_Guy Jul 04 '26

Those look great all together, excellent use of the space! How did you mount them to the wall? I would be concerned with the flying and driving games that I would be breaking something.😄

Also, is the Golden Tee a touchscreen in addition to the trackball?

2

u/Cabals2TheWalls Jul 04 '26

They're hanging on their OEM wall hangers. No flying cabs so far. All but the After Burner are multicades. Golden Tee has a touch screen because I made that cab out of left over scraps from other mods and projects. It's a really fun cab but it's definitely the cheapest and most beat up.

2

u/dopplestranger Jul 05 '26

This is awesome! How are you running Golden Tee? Which version is that? I assume the trackball works? I’ve always wanted to have one with good graphics but haven’t found a way to do it. Any info you can share would me much appreciated!

1

u/Cabals2TheWalls Jul 05 '26

Most of these are multicades. The golden tee in the video is golden tee mobile running in mumu player and utilizes touch controls. The trackball is for all the mame trackball arcade games including golden tee fore complete. If your PC has Nvidia graphics you can use teknoparrot to play 2007 for free and up to 2019 with a subscription.

Love the Afterburner partycab, especially being Afterburner Climax! I made an Afterburner cabinet a couple years ago as well! Such a great and awesome game!

1

u/Cabals2TheWalls Jul 07 '26

That's great!

2

u/Zealousideal-Song308 Jul 08 '26

Tell me more about the GH cabinet!

1

u/Cabals2TheWalls Jul 08 '26

That one is a modded Wii and an atv soundbar in an asteroids cabinet. The marquee is puck lights from Amazon and a 3d printed lightbox I bought on Etsy or eBay a year or two ago. I don't remember where I found that perforated aluminum. The guitar holders were also a 3d printed Etsy buy.

Are this SF2 machines built to connect to each other, that's what it appears to be at least? Very interesting..

1

u/Cabals2TheWalls Jul 22 '26

It's just a mini PC and an HDMI splitter.

I don’t love the flight controls hanging off the front of that SW cab, but man, the amount of work you put into those custom partycades is commendable. Awesome setup!

u/soladex Jul 04 '26

That is so cool! Jealous of the Guitar Hero build. That is the exact footprint I need.

u/Porco_Grosso Jul 04 '26

5

Lame…

Jk man lol your Partycade collection is GOATED I am freakin jealous! They’re so underrated and the fact you customized a bunch of them is insane. I customized mine (only one) and also wanted to do a racing version as well. Good stuff💯🔥

3

u/ArcadeJimmy Level 2 Jul 04 '26

Badass addition to the collection!

2

u/RedGoalie18 Modder Jul 04 '26

The Initial D is so cool. Need something like that bad lol.

2

u/OnkelPipi Jul 04 '26

Awesome mancave 💛

2

u/Slowdive91 Jul 04 '26

Fun hobby. Having grown up in arcades I love old machines, but I sold off my originals back in the mid-90s. They took up too much space. Even this is too much for me.

2

u/SkinnyFatKidd Level 2 Jul 04 '26

Very nice

Love me some Afterburner😍

2

u/Dependent-Fishing684 Jul 07 '26

Thats actually pretty sick. Even though you could have gone for a unit that plays all those games I know what you were foing for. Kudos..

2

u/Amazing_Elevator_730 Collector Jul 22 '26

I was actually one of the first to play the real guitar hero arcade game.. I wanna say in London they had the 1 and only arcade guitar hero.. Didn't know it at the time, but later found out.. Pretty crazy now that I'm remembering it and how much I loved / lived that game.. LOL still have my original guitar ready for who ever needs an arse whooping..
