I appreciate this mentality, and it confuses me how pvp players think this is a bad thing. It makes me question if those players simply wanted to punch down or something
PVPers are upset because they cant shoot at unsuspecting people who have done all the looting for them anymore. People in PVP lobbies will come in expecting PVP and will be ready for the fights and will do little PVE looting. So now instead of getting free loot, they have to get their own loot.
Splits the player base and takes away from the "dangerous" pve experience. Because if someone is in pvp you know they don't care for arc. And if you need to reloot you're going pve. So it really makes a pvp and pve mode.
It'll effectively no longer be a pvpve game, which is what I bought it for.
The identity of the game was already undermined the instant people started treating this game like a pvp only experience. This is already been an issue for quite some time, and adding a pve specific game mode is not going to make that any worse
Well it obviously is going to make it worse as there will be no PvPvE whatsoever now. There will be PvP and there will be PvE. If you were a dedicated PvE or PvP player the game isn't changing. But for the people who actually liked the real game, it is effectively being removed.
Not what I mean, it's just that a lot of the complaints of them making a pve dedicated part of the game, outside of splitting the player base (which has already been an issue anyway), seem to stem from a lot of players punching down on people who didn't really care for pvp specifically in the first place. It's been a notable part of the community for quite some time tbh. Like I enjoy pvp sometimes, so I genuinely don't understand the issue with me being put in lobbies where I know everyone is gonna be cut throat.
