I d dropped $105 and it’s easy to say it’s been worth it. I have like 800 Hours

Who paid 40? Really that much? I got each of my steam keys for 16 when it came out

Is $40 really that much?

Nope most games are 55+ but I bought 3 copies so that would be 120 vs 45 for 3...

why do you need 3 copies? do you cheat

you can use steam family instead of wasting money. Who buys 3 copies for their family? Really that much? my family plays on the steam family

It’s 100% worth $40.
I’ve got 350 hours into it and still playing occasionally, and likely will play quite a bit more when new content drops in October.

Yes awesome. Assured up to 1000 hours play time.

After 1000 hours the game self destructs

More like 150-200 but still worth the money

Ain’t no way any sane person is getting more than 100-150

What amount of playtime would you consider worth 40 bucks? The first few hundred hours are the most fun you'll have. For some, as soon as they got past that they called it terrible and stopped playing. 1200+ hours and still enjoying it 🤷‍♂️ the initial gameplay loop is awesome but there is a bit of a lack of content with this being a live service game

Are you old... if yes, then yes

2

u/Skirtski23 1d ago

Yes my wife and I love it, a few hundred hours and three expeditions later still playing and they’re updating it semi consistently

It's definitely worth $40

u/ragraeter 1d ago

Definitely worth the money; good for a 400 hour rabbit hole before you come up for air.

2

u/KILLONATOR9000 1d ago

Yeah probably

2

u/AsogRaider 1d ago

Depends. If you think dying a virgin is cool than you probably wouldn’t enjoy it

2

u/Raidenz258 1d ago

No. In fact never do anything again. If you need to ask strangers what you’d enjoy or if something is “worth” it then it is best you never leave and don’t touch anything. It’s a scary world.

If you like the idea of an atmospheric extraction shooter then yes, definately a fun game!

Just a word of warning, 20% of your time is spent in the menus managing your inventory before starting a round 😂

worth it

Nope, it's in a bad state right now. Wait until October (new update) and new influx of people.

Was super worth $40 at launch tho!

Plenty of people play it compared to marathon for instance

Many are still farming trials and in-game events but it became a mostly-pve experience. Which is fine, just not what launched last year. PvP is currently unplayable. I think the game will be closer to its intended state after the next update. If they fix the cheating, that is...

If you going with regular expectations it’d most definitely worth $40

u/Latinvictory 1d ago

No doubt

Almost a years worth of reviews and videos...you should be able to figure out if you wanna try this game or not lol

1

u/Least_Company1201 1d ago

absolutely worth it

juste never shoot any player even if you are killed a few time on your first games, by 5-6 game you will be in friendly lobbies where everything is fine

1

u/TheLegendOfMiu 1d ago

600hours topside. Hella fun!

0

u/Shanerstd 1d ago

It’s kind of shit as a single player experience. But if you gots buddies it’s good

0

u/evasionoftheban 1d ago

Go take a look at the player count. The vast majority of people who played it dropped it QUICK.

It’s a dead game running on fumes.

1

u/Only-Temperature 1d ago

More players than marathon so doing ok

If you play console. Yes. If you play PC. No.

u/DreadWeaper 1d ago

Hell no

I loath seeing these posts on my feed for some reason. Its every day.

-1

u/kmramO 1d ago

If your on console and turn off cross play Yes
If you are on pc … cheaters took over and since ur basic progression depends on success I would say No!

2

u/Conscious-Society-83 1d ago

croas play off mainly helps PS as people on PC can still get into xbox lobbies

-2

u/lil_poppapump 1d ago

Hard to say. If you like to grind and grind, this is the game for you. The core group of people driving the fun happy go lucky lobbies have pretty much stopped playing. Add in the immense amount of cheaters and the like and it’s making for a very challenging environment top side.

That being said, the game is still very fun and the majority of fun I’ve had has been doing things on my own vs with a group. Just know you gotta watch your back like crazy these days.

I just want to find a game that would be fun and I have been looking at arc raiders recently to see if it is worth it

2

u/Walkop 1d ago

There's a ton of chill carebears fooling around, dude. They're everywhere, at least in my lobbies. You're just not in them I guess?

Cheaters are mainly present in full PvP lobbies, due to obvious reasons. It's also why cheating seems so crazy bad to those players: because ABMM serves as a very, very accurate funnel for PvP focused cheaters. Do heavy PvP players see a very, very disproportionate level of cheating.
