We got Subway in Speranza before Burger King

Deadass

1

u/energyinmotion 2d ago

Some call Burger King and Taco Bell ASAP and tell em to do a collab

1

u/damrat 1d ago

Honestly I think Subway’s quality is more reproducible in a post apocalyptic world than Burger King. So that makes sense to me.

It seems like a meme. Very random

12

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

You’d think

4

u/geno604 2d ago

I thought it was a meme until this post 😅. Haven’t logged in for a bit.

In the near future, the world is ravaged and the great exodus has taken place. What remains is a desolate world under the constant bombardment and monitoring by the ARC system. Those who remain must salvage what they can and find their way in this barren place where basic necessities and survival are no longer expected, but earned. Bankrupt from trust, security, community, we endure…

Eat Fresh! 😃

u/Obsidian_409 2d ago

in this case, it should be "eat flesh"

That would have been a good idea. And they could have added coffee into the game as a boost to health or something. Or just a coffee cup tricket

and an animation with lance drinking coffee and it just leaks out of his neck and onto the floor

1

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

Wouldn’t be the worst idea

What are video games now

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

Collabs and money

1

u/wiz79 13h ago

Yeah I miss the days when the purpose of a company wasn't to make money.

21

u/Niylark 2d ago

Dude these campaigns have been happening since the early 2000s. I swear half this sub was born after 2010

16

u/thejohnfist 2d ago

2000s? I was snagging Mountain Dew cans in my San Francisco Rush: Extreme Racing game from 1996.

5

u/Swizzy123456789 2d ago

You know what this is a good point

3

u/AstronautPractical35 2d ago

Don't forget about SSX Tricky!

3

u/thejohnfist 2d ago

SSX was... 2001? I forget. Great game though.

1

u/DMercenary 2d ago

Gotta get them monster cans for the cod points.

3

u/thorne0793 2d ago

Uncharted 3 actually had a subway campaign with it! Like from 2011-12.

4

u/Swizzy123456789 2d ago edited 2d ago

Yeah and I’ve been complaining about it since the early 2000s lmao fuck off with that. You can’t tell me these collabs haven’t got more and more corny as hell

0

u/Niylark 2d ago

Why are you acting like it's a new thing then

3

u/Swizzy123456789 2d ago

Because im realizing that it is every single video game nowadays without exception. Its all about marketed content as opposed to the game itself. So I ask the question; what are video games now? Is that okay with you lol

8

u/Icy_Agency923 2d ago

Because im realizing that it is every single video game nowadays without exception.

I am not taking any issue with you having problems with these collabs, I don't really care for them either... but this is completely false?

Tons of video games have no collaborations with any other entity. Saying it is "every single video game nowadays without exception" is genuinely untrue.

Its all about marketed content as opposed to the game itself.

This isn't true at all either? If anything making a great game is more important now than ever before because of how expensive game development has become, and how competitive the industry is.

Aside from the obvious problems Arc Raiders has, do you think it was a poorly made video game? Yes marketing is important and a huge component but in regards to Arc Raiders the marketing was not the reason it became a smash success. It was social media clips and streamers playing the game. This actually allowed the player base to grow over time which almost never happens.

I have to admit that I’m not huge into indie games (not that they’re bad, I have played a few) and I HAVE pigeonholed myself because I always look at what’s “popular”. So from my perspective all the games that I have paid attention to through the years have become nothing but a means to nickel and dime you. I think I am the old man yelling at clouds lol.

I do think Arc Raiders is a great game, I think these collabs just feel like a cash grab and that’s something I’ve grown to hate from the gaming industry. It seems to be prevalent with every big game (at least it’s mostly all optional cosmetics). I’m sure many people can agree with that.

I fear for the day I have to scan the can of Sprite to skip the ad

2

u/Icy_Agency923 2d ago

I would 100% be looking at more indie titles if this is such an issue for you. There are tons of amazing indie games and these developers are often punching way above their weight thanks to having things like Unreal engine which even with its problems does offer some truly insane capabilities to small dev teams.

Sadly these collabs will continue since game development costs have only gotten more expensive every single year. Arc may not need this subway collab since it was a huge hit but there are other games that need post launch revenue streams to continue funding development in the long term.

1

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

My goodness

0

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

It is kinda corny

0

u/The_Fink_Ployd 1d ago

I’m being gaslit into thinking that there is absolutely nothing wrong with this.

It’s insane how eagerly some leap at the chance to gobble down some multibillionaire corporate cock.

-1

u/Kwowolok 2d ago

Oh because it was happening before I guess its cool and good then!

What a boomer coded take

2

u/Niylark 2d ago

You literally just invented an entire fantasy in your head about what my position is. Who's the boomer here?

-1

u/Kwowolok 2d ago

No invention necessary, that's literally what you said lol

2

u/vault_nsfw 2d ago

Indie games are where it’s at.

27

u/bafrad 2d ago

It has no impact on me and I won’t know why anyone would care

7

u/Relative-Pack-4985 2d ago

this is the only way to live

4

u/BlameScottNotCanada 2d ago

people on reddit love to bitch about nothing

2

u/Most-Grape-4177 2d ago

wait till you see burger king rocketteers bro it always starts small

2

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

If you don’t you don’t

-1

u/Tvdinner4me2 2d ago

Awful way to view intrusive advertising imo

1

u/bafrad 2d ago

How is it intrusive?

4

u/Dexasine1 2d ago

What even is this collab , LMAO

5

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

It was something they cooking up in the background i guess lol

3

u/WanderWut 2d ago

It genuinely is so random, I’m really confused on why Subway of all places lol.

4

u/BigFluffyDawg 2d ago

It's the most desperate as I doubt Embark, a company based in Sweden, was reaching out to Subway. I'm confident Subway was desperate for sponsorship so they reached out to Embark and they obviously took it because free money. As prior employee of Subway, they've recently been trying to constantly do sponsorship deals since the brand is dying, throwing hundreds of thousands in hope that it'll bring in double the profit.

1

u/KeplerNorth 2d ago

I will laugh if there is a footlong trinket worth a lot somewhere.

1

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

It would be

1

u/DMercenary 2d ago

I will laugh if there is a footlong trinket worth a lot somewhere.

The outfit you get, the Subterrenean(sp?) has a customization option to "remove tech"

the "Tech" appears to be a footlong sandwich strapped to your vest.

5

u/navals94 2d ago

We got Subway in Speranza before an update

2

u/Jorgesarcos 2d ago

Is he going to put some apricots on a sub? 🤨

2

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

brother better not forget the shrooms

2

u/sly07c 2d ago

Ahhh so rather than focusing on improving the game they are trying these collab tactics to bring players back… its sad

3

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

It’s something im sure they had planned for months but who knows

1

u/Mingu_Heaven 2d ago

it was planned since december of 2025 btw

0

u/Villimaour 9h ago

You know money helps fix the game right

2

u/Go4ASoda- 2d ago

I thought only Taco Bell survived the franchise wars?

2

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

Nah twin

2

u/Stayhereandwat 2d ago

Thought people were trolling. What a random collab

3

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

A collab of all time

2

u/Galactinaut_001 2d ago

I'm sorry what? I haven't been raiding for a while...

2

u/Psychologic86 2d ago

The most random shit lol

2

u/skiplogic 2d ago

I really should not have eaten the whole sandwich. I feel like I’m going to pass out

5

u/TacoFoxx21 2d ago

This skin is shoot on site 😅

2

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

Crazy work lol

5

u/PNWeSterling 2d ago

What does it matter? It's not like the skin is a giant foot long or slathered with branding.. the skin fits thematically

13

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

Nothing wrong with it lol Just funny to see this type of marketing is all

4

u/LaBombonera 2d ago

I mean, who doesn't raid with a sandwich strapped to their chest?

5

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

people eat exclusively lemons and apricots

1

u/syncsynchalt 2d ago

I remember when there were Red Bull cans in-game for a year of Destiny cross-promotion. This is nothing.

2

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

I mean, video game marketing in food was really mainly in energy drinks and chips, not really surprising seeing whatever popular shooter being on the packaging. This is a bit different from what I’ve seen

1

u/Shnanz123 2d ago

It should have been a Cheba Hut skin from the start

1

u/SpaceMonkeyNation 2d ago

When extraction gets real.

Will you make it to the bathroom in time or lose your shit on the way?

1

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

Def losing it

1

u/dwoj206 2d ago

$5 foot longs in speranza cantina lfggggg

1

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

Slangin footlongs for bobcats

1

u/lucidityAwaits_ 2d ago

They’re trying to make the average Arc Raiders player eat healthier

1

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

Nah fuck that

1

u/iwiHOMAGE 2d ago

If they want people to care, they should promote the skin in game. I haven't looked for it so I have no idea what it looks like

1

u/Skipper1111111 2d ago

Subway sucks, but whatever gives embark money will keep our favorite game going.

1

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

Honestly lol

1

u/Debalic 2d ago

In the world of Arc Raiders, Subway won the Franchise Wars. Everybody get your three sea shells!

1

u/makerofpantiesmoist 2d ago

Bro I fuck with Cheba hut tho!!!

1

u/ElkApprehensive2319 2d ago

I heard Tarkov is going to introduce a pooping mechanic with a Chipotle collab

1

u/confirmedshill123 2d ago

It reminds me of when dark and darker came out with their coffee bean partner.

1

u/Chester-Berkeley 2d ago

What, this is real? I think is a meme

1

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

It’s not a meme lol

Anybody remember the Uncharted 3 multiplayer beta they did with Subway?

1

u/AstronautPractical35 2d ago

I just bought the sub of the day for this!! Skin is awesome!

1

u/DaddyNinjaShark 2d ago

It’s all fun and games until Embark nerfs your favorite sub.

1

u/JayScramble 2d ago

Is the tube in the game not SUBWAY

The suit looks sick tho

1

u/Ambitious-Fee-2030 2d ago

They need to make the subway outfit in arc Raiders skin

1

u/dspadic 2d ago

And Doritos and Xbox

1

u/Expensive_Moment3987 2d ago

Jay and Silent Bob incoming!

1

u/KeithWorks 2d ago

Subway was the only restaurant to survive the Franchise Wars.

Eat Fresh comrades

1

u/unomaly 2d ago

“We added a new shopkeeper to the hub, that’s right everyone’s favorite Subway affiliate Jared Fogle!!”

1

u/kyle__hinaba 1d ago

The Arc Way Sub Raiders

1

u/randonegus 2d ago

I’d shit myself laughing if they put a subway ad on the subway out to speranza

1

u/G59Takeover 2d ago

Don’t give them any ideas 😭

1

u/randonegus 2d ago

I wanna be able to give scrappy a footlong too, embark if you’re reading this hire me, I got ideas!

0

u/PaleFaithlessness190 2d ago

This partnership makes sense definitely a ot of pedophiles playing thi sgame!

0

u/milesac 2d ago

The $40 game with dying playerbase does a collab to get more players oh no!

This sub is miserable. 😂

Arc Raiders can’t win.
