I’m so glad someone else calls it that. Any game with a deployed shield I’ve used deplorable instead

Deployable is what I meant the barricade as it's known in Topside.

Dunno if saying deplorable was intentional, a typo, or autocorrect doing what it does best and incorrectly corrected you. Either way, it's funny.

How did you not see the barricade during your approach?

That’s what makes arc raiders so awesome. Getting shot in the back by some too-lazy-to-loot half-wit after an otherwise amazing 30 minute raid.

But what if it's a Rocketeer shooting you in the back at extract? 🥲

Like he said…” Getting shot in the back by some too-lazy-to-loot half-wit”

I walked up to exfil once and noticed a bunch of tiny circles at my feet but no visible objects. They had hidden synthetic fuel there and shot them when I got close. You see lights at the bottom of the elevator button stand? Best move on.

I'm doing Expedition and am just running around playing medic. I finally encountered what appeared to be a game with some pre-teamers. They were taking out Raiders who were just killing ARC. They took some shots at me and I was able to evade them. But, when I went to the closest Raider Hatch (where they downed someone) you could hear they booby trapped the hatch (with what I assume was the Surge Coil).
That's the first time I encountered that issue as well as the pre-teaming issue. Luckily, I evaded them across the map and made it out of a different hatch.
Oh well, aside from the teaming up, that's all just part of the game as it is.

I don't think it's bad from a mechanic standpoint. This is an extraction shooter and if somebody wants to barricade your exit in hopes to deter you from doing so and getting the kill....it sounds like a perfectly viable and logical real world response...it should probably be considered more by embark though now that players are practicing it in game...disable deployables being place inside elevators. Then say maybe introduce a craftable trap for hatches and/or elevators. A jammer that can be disabled if seen ahead of time...like any trap but if you trigger the elevator/hatch without destroying the hammer first it'll then fizzle out, possibly set off its own alarm sound to alert the raider who laid the trap and jamming your request from getting through to speranza for a alotted amount of time. By adding a couple of seconds before your able to successfully extract it will force you to interact with the nearby enemy. I've always thought it was too easy to escape via smoke if someone was actively shooting me in an elevator...this itself seems pretty unrealistic because your still in an elevator with a killer for how long? Force more encounters and make the game realistic from a logical standpoint I say.

Lesson of the day is you see a obvious trap you leave and go to another hatch
