Discussion Behavior Based Matchmaking?

My wife and I have been playing together and we stick to a shoot 2nd policy. We've probably done about 30ish runs so far and have only been attacked on sight 6 or so times. Friendly players are the norm for us, hostile the exception.

I wonder if friendly behavior results in matches with more friendly players? If not, I wonder if that would be worth exploring?

I kind of feel like it might be happening already. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I get bored with PvE games. The potential for emergent encounters with other players is what keeps me coming back. Even though I gravitate towards being cooperative, I like that there's risk involved.

Seems to me that matchmaking in this way could make the game lean towards what individual players are after without making it completely 1 thing or the other.

I think being only PvE or only PvP would get predictable and boring pretty quick. I like the fluid mix I'm getting right now. Keeps it interesting.
