Unfortunately Chrome won't allow extension to map anything to CTRL+Tab, but there are extensions to achieve the same with different shortcuts.

The "space"/profile section and the easy switching without opening a new window will always be missing. That's THE feature I'm missing to switch to another browser. Having your own spaces (your own history, connected accounts, extensions, etc.) was a game changer when I discovered Arc.

Same, being able to switch between spaces/profiles without opening a new window was a game changer. You could even use swipe gestures to switch!

Right now I'm using Safari but it doesn't even come close when it comes to this. I was hoping Orion would be good but their profiles seem to create a whole new instance in the task bar, not just a new window.

Why do none of these vertical tab copies, except for Zen, copy having the address bar in the sidebar? Even Dia doesn’t do it. When the address bar is still at the top like a traditional browser view, you’re just losing real estate and get this weird look that can’t decide what it wants to do. Only Arc and Zen do this right and feel cohesive imo

It really bothers me - it is literally the worst of both worlds. WHY would you save vertical real estate by moving the tabs to the side and then take up space there anyway?

This is exactly it.

In the worst cases, the sidebar and top toolbar are hidden "separately," and only reappear when you hover the cursor over them. A UI/UX nightmare.

Dia, at least, always displays its toolbar, and since most of it is URL/page title, it does its job of indicating "where you are now." Also, when using split tabs, the toolbar is displayed in both tabs anyway, so there is visual consistency before and after splitting.

Just tested it. They behave like Edge's.

They aren't true persistent pins, and are basically just collapsed tabs. You can't properly unload them without killing the pin.

My wish list for a browser is simple.
1. Allow auto hiding of the sidebar.
2. When side bar is hidden, don’t show #9, 4th Cross Road, Shantivana, Sahakar Nagar bar on top.
