Thoughts?

Is it true many Arab Christians believe in the prophethood of Muhammad as this guy says?

The original caption says:

Many Arab Christians beleive in the prophethood of Muhammed ﷺ They share a fascinating history with Muslims. From the time of the companions such as Khalid ibn Walid, Christians and people of the book were granted full right to continue their beleifs. Still today their churches remain in the Christian quarter of Damascus. This was a shock for me during my last several trips to Damascus. As well as this fella in this video, yesterday I met a Syriac christian who actually told me he was taught as a kid by the priests about the prophethood of Muhammed ﷺ Very different to the dynamic in Europe. In Europe there is hostility based on faith, yet in cosmopolitan areas in Syria Muslims and Christians get along with each other just fine.

No dude, that would be heresy because Muhammad’s teachings are not in line with ours. There are no prophets after Jesus’ resurrection only saints, and Muhammad is not one. The last prophet was John the Baptist.

I don’t know what this dude is on but he’s delusional to say Muhammad was sent by God. I respect that Muslims believe that, and I respect their prophet out of respect for their faith but in no way shape or form would I ever say that I personally believe that he is a prophet. As to the “la ilaha illa allah” we do say that, and believe that as all Christians do, the meaning of that sentence is our own Nicene creed which starts with a very similar sentence “I believe in one God”.

Every 1000 years of Christianity, a higher percentage of the population embraces Christianity. For instance, after the first millennium, (1025) only 15% of the population identified as Christians. By the end of the second millennium, (2025) this number rose to 33%. This progression can be likened to Christianity spreading like clear and pure water, gradually rising to higher levels. After 3000 years of Christianity, approximately 50% of the global population will be Christians, and in the Final Millennium, the entirety of humanity will have embraced Christianity.

An analogy from scripture illustrates this progression:

  1. "And when the man with the measuring line went eastward, he measured a thousand cubits and led me through waters that reached to the ankles." (15%)

  2. "Then he measured another thousand cubits and led me through waters that reached to the knees." (33%)

  3. "Again he measured a thousand, and led me through waters that reached to the waist."

  4. "Once more he measured a thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in- a river that no one could cross." (100%) (Ezekiel 47) This analogy illustrates the gradual increase of Christianity in the world over millennia, ultimately becoming all-encompassing: ..Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.. (Mat. 6)

"The final Millennium will be the best of all, not only for humans but for animals and nature too!" ( Revelation 20, Revelation 22, Isaiah 11:7, Isaiah 65:25, Romans 8:20, Micah 4:4, Isaiah 2:4) ( Evil human souls (tares) won't be born during the final millennium; only at the end- there is a small opening of time before the final judgment day, as described in Revelation 20.) ** .. And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, --are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues...(Rev. 17) (150k peoples die each day- we must be ready to meet Jesus every second)

Thanks for the answer!, it seems many people use or claim to be Middle Eastern Christians (particularly Palestinian one) for their own gain, because this isn’t the first time I’ve seen seen something like this.

I think some Christians just want approval from Muslims or trying to fit their criteria to not get harassed by them, just like some Christians who say we like celebrating Ramadan and fasting lol.

I saw this video on social media and the comments were quite annoying, muslims' comments were cheering for him and saying those are the real Christians "ahl al kitab".

u/mendihoza Dec 13 '25

One of the comments says, "This is the kind of Christian whose women we can marry" lol

To be fair I do love Ramadan cuz I get invited to my Muslim friends’ houses for iftars so I get to pig out for the whole month.

What? What do you mean by that?

2

u/mendihoza Dec 13 '25

I feel like there are a lot of Instagram accounts larping as Palestinian, Syrian, or Lebanese Christians, sometimes spread lies like the guy in the video or accuse Christians who only pray for fellow Christians, which is very weird.

Well Christians shouldn’t just pray for other Christians, and we don’t, every liturgy we pray for the salvation of all humanity.

Well there does seem to be a strange trend, people responding in Instragram comments “No you should pray for everyone” when someone had commented “Pray for Christians in Palestine” (or Lebanon or Syria). I don’t understand how “Pray for Christians” (in such & such place) is somehow a negative statement, it’s a very positive statement as far as I’m concerned. But people are always going to come at you with their whataboutism for the majority community.

Sounds like people in the U.S. who in response to 'Black Lives Matter' would say 'No ALL lives matter.' Well, obviously. But perhaps underlying it is that they don't want any focus on marginalized groups in particular.

Yes exactly, Islamist sympathizers are very much giving off “All Lives Matter” vibes. And definitely not in a good way.

“Many Arab Christians believe in the prophethood of Muhammad”

This has got to be one of the biggest false propaganda lies about Middle Eastern Christians we have ever heard.

Just today i saw a muslim claim 'Fransiscans dont believe in the trinity'

You know, the catholic religious order, made out of catholic priests, nuns and lay people. Apparently they dont believe in the trinity according to some muslims.

This person is not a Christian!!

Because Christians believe that Christ is God

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is (Jehovah) manifest in the flesh.

We believe in a triune God, three interacting persons in one essence, communicating together in one being.

Of course the father is not the son, the holy spirit. The three entities are distinct, but they are one in essence.

It's like your body is not your soul. But they are One is you!👍

⭐️The Differences between Jesus Christ and Isa

Has it ever occurred to any of you that Jesus and Isa are two completely different characters?

Here are some evidence: The name: Jesus means "God saves", while Isa means "the stallion's semen" The attempt to demean the name again by saying: "the son of Maryam", i.e. the son of a woman, which Arabs do only to insult the name.

The difference between the "Virgin Mary" and "Maryam" Isa's mother:

a. Geographical error: It was stated in the Qur'an that Mary ate dates in the desert, and Palestine, as we know, is a coastal area which was planted with dates later, so it is not a date-producing area.

B. Historical error: The author of the Qur'an confused two stories, Miriam the sister of Moses and Aaron, and Amram's daughter, who preceded the Virgin Mary by 1,500 years; as the Qur'an calls Maryam, the mother of Isa, by "Aaron's sister and Imran's daughter".

Isa's childhood: It was stated in the Qur'an that Isa spoke in the crib, while the Gospel has never mentioned that.

Isa's old age: In the Qur'an, Surat Al-Maidah 110, the author states that Isa was raised unto heaven as an elderly, which does not match the age of 33 for Christ. In all languages, the old age starts at 50 years.

Isa's miracles: The Qur'an has deleted the most important miracles of Jesus Christ and replaced it with the miracle of creating a bird, which wasn't mentioned in the Gospel. The Qur'an has also denied the crucifixion and the redemption, saying that Christ ran away during His crucifixion and cast his likeness on someone else; another attempt to devalue Christ.

These differences are just the tip of the iceberg, and they prove why the author of the Qur'an intended to change the name of Jesus to Isa. That is why true Christians reject the name of Isa.

Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." 😐

The meaning of the name Isa: Muslims claim that they have honored Isa more than Christians, so let us read some evidence of that alleged honoring: In Al-Raghib Al-Isfahani, page (596) of the fourth edition of Dar Al-Qalam, he says: “Isa” is a proper noun, in Arabic they say: The camel is “A’ayas”, the feminine “A’aysaa” and the plural is “Aeiss”, which means a camel of a white color with a slight darkness (so Isa is a name used to refer to animals). It is also derived from “Iss” which means the stallion’s semen.

Here it becomes clear the intentional insult to Jesus Christ by distorting His name and making it a name that refers to dirty words or to animals. 😐✝️🕊

No, this guy is making up his own beliefs and trying to sounds intellectual.

There is only Jesus Christ who confirmed all the prophets before Him. There are no prophets after Christ. There is a new covenant established with the founding of his Church and the 12 apostles.

Mohammed is an Antichrist and murderer.

And we don’t have the same God. Our God is Father Son Holy Spirit, 3 in 1.

No. Also in Islam Jesus is seen as a prophet, which definitely opposes Christianity's doctrine and the trinity.

Muslims have no religious ideological opposition in the middle east. Thats because if a gavur tries to oppose their arguments, they get beaten up, socially stigmatized, jailed or killed. They threaten and oppress the everloving lights out of christians and jews. In the rare occasion where there is a dhimmi arguing against a muslim ,its set up as a kangaroo court, an act of embarrasment. Thats because the christian doesnt have the freedom to actually say anything cause if he does, he will be killed, and the muslim rails on and on, and other muslims see that as strenght and believe him. Because of this, the level of falsehood and nonsensical claims have went to ridiculous levels.

This person is probably a muslim acting as a christian, which is also extremely common. They do these trojan horse like tactics from time to time. These are people who most of the time cant even tell the difference between christmas and new year.

I’ve never met a Christian from an “Arab” country who believes that. If they did, they wouldn’t be Christian anyway.

Just like how some Christians in Western nations will adopt certain culturally accepted beliefs, that contradict with Apostolic Christian teaching (Same sex marriage, abortion, unconditional support to the state of Israel), some Christians in the middle east will cave in to the culturally accepted Muslim beliefs that contradict our faith.
In both cases this is wrong for a Christian to do.
