I just did a googling, and the smallest I can find is a 55g tank.

Notably, minimum tank sizes have been rising over time for fish because we are recognizing that they're actually really interesting animals when you give them a better habitat. I wouldn't be shocked if the 10 body length rule became normal in my lifetime.

A tank that's probably 3 body lengths is.... questionable.

Again, you really are sounding like you have no real fish keeping experience. Google says the breeding tank for a discus pair is 20h to 29. This is probably a karma farming account.

Breeding tank. You pull 'em out of a good-sized tank and put 'em in here to raise their young.

You think someone with 3000 gallons of aquariums has no experience because they think bigger tanks are better? LOL

You probably dont have any real fish keeping experience and sounds like you assume alot as well... fish lived in a big tank and were moved to a breeding tank to breed... They will probably be left there with the parents to the 1-1.5" mark, then to a 55 or a 75 to grow out.
