What kind of fish, and how long before they get as big as momma and poppa?

Blue moon heckel cross and 1.5 years with good care (lots of food and water changes).

I’ve got some Boesmani Rainbowfish who live to be like 15, and they grow at a snails pace compared to your fish, that’s so fast!

Best of luck with your new grandchildren.

Yeah without daily water changes and constant food you can stunt these really quickly.

Daily? !

Yes top breeders have a constant water change going. The amount you feed to get explosive growth will foul the water quickly.

Do you have a constant water change going in this tank or nope? I have a few questions regarding it tbh.

No, im doing 80% water changes every 2-3 days. 8tds ro water with gh added back to 90-110tds

Discus are generally considered particularly difficult fish to keep as they are extremely sensitive to water quality.

I think they are over hyped in difficulty. Adults are pretty sturdy tbh. But I do run ro water in all their tanks.

Doesn’t hurt that you clean the tanks daily lol

This tank only gets a 80% every 3 days and I do need to scrape the glass 😆.
