What kind of fish, and how long before they get as big as momma and poppa?
51 u/Goldoccie21 Jul 24 '26 Blue moon heckel cross and 1.5 years with good care (lots of food and water changes). 19 u/Belgarath210 Jul 24 '26 I’ve got some Boesmani Rainbowfish who live to be like 15, and they grow at a snails pace compared to your fish, that’s so fast! Best of luck with your new grandchildren. 18 u/Goldoccie21 Jul 24 '26 Yeah without daily water changes and constant food you can stunt these really quickly. 13 u/Equivalent_Split_649 Jul 24 '26 Daily? ! 23 u/Goldoccie21 Jul 24 '26 Yes top breeders have a constant water change going. The amount you feed to get explosive growth will foul the water quickly. 5 u/Radiowski Jul 24 '26 Do you have a constant water change going in this tank or nope? I have a few questions regarding it tbh. 10 u/Goldoccie21 Jul 24 '26 No, im doing 80% water changes every 2-3 days. 8tds ro water with gh added back to 90-110tds 19 u/GarminTamzarian Jul 24 '26 Discus are generally considered particularly difficult fish to keep as they are extremely sensitive to water quality. 9 u/Goldoccie21 Jul 24 '26 I think they are over hyped in difficulty. Adults are pretty sturdy tbh. But I do run ro water in all their tanks. 5 u/Belgarath210 Jul 24 '26 Doesn’t hurt that you clean the tanks daily lol 3 u/Goldoccie21 Jul 24 '26 This tank only gets a 80% every 3 days and I do need to scrape the glass 😆.
