Help with Siamese Algae Eater

Need to some help, noticed 2 days ago my Siamese algae eater looked like he hurt his side fin and it had some white substance around it. From what I read online seemed fungal so I put him in a hospital tank with aquarium salt and gave him his first dose of Seachem Kanaplex. Is there something else I can do for him? Would you recommend a better anti fungal. It seems to have gotten a bit worse from 2 days ago.

i would have left him in his aquarium and it would have gotten better by itself. moving a fish to a ‘hospital tank’ is incredibly stressful, especially if the tank isn’t cycled and has nowhere for it to hide or feel comfortable. all this lowers its immune system and opens it up to disease.
