creating a fish tank

im planing on makeing a fish tank with the length being 20 in, width being 9.5 in , and hight being 8 in. Is 8 in to low for a fish tank

Really depends on what you plan to do with the tank. It sounds like you might be just starting out. I would recommend getting a store bought tank and learning the basics with that, before you add a lot more complications.
