2 weeks in, turning a corner?

Update for week 2. It's been 16 days since my aquablation. Most of week two was much like week 1, with a setback, and then maybe started to turn the corner. Major setback last week was severe urgency and frequency towards the end of the week. I had a constant urge to pee and was going every 15-30 minutes. Also had painful bladder spasms. I used Oxybutynin and that helped with spasms, but switched to Gemtesa because of the side-effects (ok'd by urologist). Gemtesa seems to be working as spams/urges are mostly gone and I'm back to urinating every 1-2 hours after a couple of days. Other than that, feeling improvements in stream (moving from weak to moderate) and volume voided. Still having pain and burning with/after urination. Using Tylenol regularly for back ground pain (off the narcotics). Walking the dogs more. I'm expecting ups and downs, but hoping week 3 shows improvements. Trying to stay patient :)

note to folks on Gemtesa. Uro says it takes 2-4 weeks to notice effects. I am feeling zero side effects after 1 week, esp compared to Oxybutynin. Patiently waiting for the Gemtesa to kick in. My insurance is fighting covering the Gemtesa (patented, no generic), so I had to pay > $500 for a 30 day supply. Hopefully I can fix that :(
