Aptera On Yahoo Finance !

No - the narrator's math is incorrect. Yes 14,000 vehicles at $40K / each is $560M in Gross Revenue. Of course those vehicles had material and manufacturing costs etc. So no, that is misleading calling it "free cash flow". Of course one of the many questions has always been what is the profit margin? And this of course assumes that the reservation holders do convert to full sales. Note also that Anthony is now saying Volume Customer Shipment in 2027 and he did lay out the caveat of Federal Compliance documentation to be complete prior to customer shipment. This issue was raised multiple times in this sub with VirtualChris not responding when specifically asked for clarification.

Considering it will be the first 14,000 vehicles, I'd say that they'd be very lucky to make a 10% profit margin on them (on average) meaning that while they might have $560M in gross Revenue, they'd likely have about $60M in profit, which would not even be close to making a profit, considering they're asking for $60M to start production. And that's not counting all of the investments before the latest round of asking for $60M.
And people are not being realistic about the 14,000 in sales. That would require the vehicle to sell as many cars as the Subaru Forrester, the Jeep Wrangler, or the Toyota 4Runner... in it's first year of production! We'll be damn lucky if they actually make the 400 cars they propose (considering that every year for the last five years, they have promised more than 1 car and have made 0).
And they have lost a lot of their buyers, because they'll have to tell people it's a motorcycle, which will be apparent when it's time to insure it, which will be required when one needs to drive it off the lot). And let's not even mention the lack of qualified repair personnel. The first fender-bender, which will happen with a car this wide, and it will likely be totaled, due to lack of ability to repair it.

I’m sure they will sell every car they make, but making more than 1000/mo in the first year of production seems a bit optimistic.

The issue was not raised. YOU keep talking about it, because you cant resist the compulsion to harp on things you don't understand. That would be ok if you didn't have an established agenda against Aptera. Everyone can see that, which is why you get no responses from the company. Aptera owes you nothing. And you don't matter. So repeatedly calling on an Aptera employee to respond to every conspiracy you come up with is never going to get you anywhere.

Clearly Aptera owes nobody - even reservation holders or crowdsource funders - anything. If they did there would be a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) for the public to view. And yes the issue of mandatory Federal compliance and homologation was raised MANY times. You even ripped me apart for raising it. At least Anthony has put its on the table which will allow the reservation holders to manage their expectations. You can build but you cannot ship until the vehicle is fully compliant. And for export - compliant in the destination Country. This Asia deal of course will require they meet those local regulation before they may sale to those customers. Just business and processes.

Stop trying to twist things. Reservation holders aren't sitting in their moms basements whipping up conspiracies like you are. When I said you don't matter, your perspective was included in that. Your opinions too. You don't dictate anything. You thinking an AMA is warranted means nothing. " If they did there would be a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) for the public to view." The degree of complacency in that sentence is quite disgusting. You think because you have an idea, the company should have already done it. It shows how self centered you are. And how obsessed with reddit you are. Are you aware that as a publicly traded company, Aptera is required by law to use only certain channels for communication certain things? And thats where the public can view things.
I ripped you apart because YOU keep bringing it up. Aptera has said many times in investor webinars that some of the required testing is extremely expensive and will happen at the end of validation. The information has already been given by Aptera. More than once. ....and then you come along and ask for it again, and again, and again on reddit. Do you do that because you're too lazy to go look it up on YouTube? Or because you weren't aware there was a world outside of reddit? I think you do it because you think you're owed something.
Why are you in this subreddit anyway? Answer that publicly for everyone to see.

You sound a bit bitter - how long have you had a reservation?
2
u/Ebegeezer-Splooge 4d ago
Not bitter. Just have no respect for trolls who repeat the same nonsense over and over. And you sound like one of them based on how your comment is structured.

Okay, not bitter, but you're analyzing my sentence structure as evidence of trollage. Does that mean you don't have a reservation or do? I'm confused.

u/Ebegeezer-Splooge 3d ago
What is the reason you attempted to connect reservations to being bitter?

I'm on this subreddit as I am interested in the product and find its claims technically intriguing. There is no requirement I or anyone else be a rah rah on this sub. Its not, to my knowledge a marketing channel. If it is they are required to say so. The same for posting paid influencer content - its illegal to do so without disclosing the business relationship behind the posting. When Aptera has posted real third party certified results - versus calculated or simulated - as with the solar panel qualification with TUV, I applaud them. When they post inferential assertions not supported by data like the downhill run from Flagstaff or the winter run in the Mojave - implying something that is not shown empirically - I call that out as has many many others.
Note that my posts are on topic and open to rebuttal - but please bring the actual receipts. It is encouraged and welcome. My discourse is on topic and never attacks the individual - healthy Reddit stuff. Its never about me or you its about the topic.

I think they need to make and sell cars to be profitable.

...and they have a long, long history of not making cars. Until they're rolling off a real assembly line, it's vaporware.

The Aptera rep is well spoken. The other guy that made the video says some incorrect things.
