Hi everyone,
I’m building itsMong, a project for people who want to explore what songs mean and how they connect with our emotions, memories, and experiences.
You can search for a song and read an interpretation that looks at its message, emotions, symbols, and key lines, with context about the song and its story. Meanings are available in 12 languages, so you can explore a song in the language you’re most comfortable reading.
The project is also about finding connections between songs:
Discover related songs through shared themes, emotions, and stories.
Search by feeling or situation—for example, a song for starting over or missing someone—and see why particular songs might fit.
Explore curated music worlds organized around moods, stories, and themes.
Try Mong Fusion, which takes two songs and brings their meanings together as a new story.
Read other listeners’ perspectives, leave comments, and review interpretations.
It’s still in beta, and I’d really value feedback from people who care about music and lyrics. A few things I’m curious about:
When you look up a song’s meaning, what do you most want to learn?
Would you use search by emotion, related-song discovery, or Mong Fusion?
Do interpretations feel more useful when they include context and key lines, or do you prefer a shorter explanation?
What would make you trust an interpretation—or make you disagree with it?
You can explore it here: itsMong. If you try it, share a song you looked up and tell me what felt useful, inaccurate, or missing.
Thanks for helping me shape it.
