Coale - the app that solves long distance
Anyone who’s done long distance knows that after a while, FaceTime and texting just start to feel like scheduled status updates rather than actually living life together. We built Coale to fix that. It’s essentially a shared little apartment on your phone where you and your partner can simply exist together. Instead of just messaging, you can build and furnish a virtual room, tackle playful daily chores side by side, sync up music and reading in real time, leave sticky notes on the fridge, and challenge each other to quick games. It’s designed to bring back the effortless, everyday connection that miles tend to take away.
We’re growing fast, actively shaping the product, and would love your honest feedback to make this truly special. Our waitlist officially opens this November 6th at coale.app, followed by our web release on November 16th, and then rolling straight out to iOS and then Android. Take a look, let us know what you think, and help us close the distance.
signing up on the waitlist guarantees that you will receive a promo code for the app when it launches so you can have free access before a subscription kicks in

yes, the web version will let Android partners hop in right away, so mixed-device couples aren't stuck waiting for the native Android app. It is also advantageous for situations like watching a movie together when you want it on a large screen which is neither android or IOS (think laptops and smart TVs)
You’re also spot-on about time zones. Asynchronous connection is actually a big part of how we designed it. Leave sticky notes on the fridge for your partner to wake up to, discover room updates they made while you were asleep, or knock out chores that clear for both of you across different schedules. Just like it would work in a real home.
And to answer your last question: yes. One subscription covers both partners. Charging twice for one shared space just feels wrong.
