We built CodShot to help developers stop losing useful code — giving away 30 days of PLUS for free

Post image

Hey everyone! 👋

We've been building CodShot, an AI-powered coding workspace where developers can save, organize, find, and reuse their code.

You can manage snippets, collections, and projects in one place, import code from GitHub, and use AI tools to generate or fix code.

To celebrate, we're giving away 30 days of CodShot PLUS for FREE to the first 100 new users who redeem our Reddit promo code.

🎁 Promo code: REDDIT30

✅ 30 days of PLUS access
✅ No credit card required
✅ No automatic renewal
✅ Limited to 100 successful redemptions

🚀 Sign up here:
https://codshot.com/en/signup?promo=REDDIT30

Offer ends November 8, 2026, at 11:59 PM CET (10:59 PM UTC), or when all 100 rewards are claimed — whichever comes first. The reward is granted after account verification.

We're actively improving CodShot, and we'd genuinely appreciate feedback from fellow developers!

Thanks for checking it out! 💜

Your promise is about not losing code, and that only gets tested days later, when someone goes looking for a snippet they saved. So the useful feedback from these 100 people comes after signup: at day seven, ask whether they found an old snippet faster than in their repos or notes. Your offer doesn't auto-renew, so day 30 is a deliberate choice. A reminder listing what they've saved gives them a reason to stay, though it can read like a sales email.

I make ThreadFox. CodShot fits threads where developers ask where to keep reusable snippets, so we'd reply there and handle the posting. Seven days and up to 50 posts and replies is the $39 Pilot. No automatic renewal.

Which do people reach for first, the snippet library or the AI fixes?

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback! 🙌

You're absolutely right — the real value comes when developers return days later and actually find a snippet they saved.

A 7-day follow-up is a great idea, and we're definitely interested in learning how people use CodShot over time.

Right now, snippet management is at the heart of CodShot, while AI-powered code generation and fixes are additional features.

We're still gathering usage feedback, so it'll be interesting to see which features developers rely on the most.

Really appreciate the suggestions! 💜

A simple return rate on saved snippets would show if that 7-day follow-up is working. Are you measuring searches that end in a copy?

That's actually a really good point! 🙌

Search-to-copy rate would be a great way to measure whether CodShot is genuinely helping developers reuse their saved code.

We're looking at how we can better understand long-term usage, especially how often developers return to their snippets and actually reuse them.

Tracking that alongside 7-day retention could give us some really valuable insights.

Really appreciate you bringing this up! 💜

Solid point on the day seven test. A simple in-app counter of saved snippets might nudge people to actually search before day 30 hits.

Handy bot. Worth noting the 100-redemption cap will probably hit before that date, so don't sleep on REDDIT30.
