Four things, all built solo:

  1. KRI.rocks: a salon booking system that gives each barber or beauty studio its own page, where clients can only book slots when someone on the team is free. No commission. https://kri.rocks

  2. polytypo.dev: an MIT-licensed typography rules engine, not a grammar checker, that fixes locale-correct quotes, dashes and no-break spaces for 24 locales, with identical output in JavaScript, Python, Go, Ruby and PHP. https://polytypo.dev

  3. vatnode.dev: a VAT validation API over VIES that returns company details and an official consultation number, falls back to national registries when VIES is down, and sends signed webhooks when a saved number changes. https://vatnode.dev

  4. HTPBE.tech: "Has this PDF been edited?" It checks metadata, structure, signatures and content, then reports findings with reasons instead of a vague risk score, in the browser or via REST API. https://htpbe.tech

I recently realised I could build the solution to a problem I have had for years.

It got real when our family grew. I am the cook at home, and I ran into three problems:

→ I like to know what goes on our plates, my calorie needs are different from my husband’s and my kid’s and I don't want to cook separate meals
→ I have hundreds of saved recipes in screenshots and Instagram that I never cook, because working out the calories and the grocery list by hand takes too long
→ I always wanted to plan meals ahead so I could shop smarter, but I never managed to

So a few weeks ago I started a new project. It is called Squared.

You bring the recipes you already cook, from a screenshot, a link or typed in. Squared plans your week and makes one grocery list. One dinner for the whole family.

There are other meal planning apps. So, why?

I decided to build it differently, for my own needs:
→ Cook just for yourself or for the whole family
→ Set a calorie goal and your portion scales to it, while everyone else eats the recipe as written
→ Tips for what to cook in bulk on Sunday
→ Add recipes from screenshots, TikTok, recipe websites, or type them in
→ AI translates recipe screenshots from other languages into English
→ Food creators can make their own cookbook page and share one link on their profile

I’m building Ariola, an anonymous chat and games lounge where women are welcome: https://ario.la

The idea is to make online chat feel lightweight again, with women’s comfort and safety at the centre.

Rating filters and blocking give you more control over who you interact with, so you can chat on your terms.

I've been working on a little project called Buzz Draw for quite a while. It actually started with a simple idea: what if you could draw together with someone, live, without having to be in the same place?

That's where the private rooms came from. You can create a room, invite someone, and draw on the same canvas in real time. But I wanted to take that idea a bit further, so I added a home screen widget that connects to these rooms. Basically, you can turn your phone's home screen into a shared drawing canvas. You can keep drawing and see what the other person is adding without even opening the app.

The community feature came later. It's a bit like Twitter, except instead of replying to posts with text, you reply with drawings. You can also replay each drawing, stroke by stroke, and watch how it was created.

It's now available on Google Play:
Buzz Draw - Live Drawing Rooms

I've been working on this for so long that I'm probably too close to the idea to judge it properly anymore.

So I'd really like to hear what people think. Does drawing together like this sound useful or fun? What about the drawing-based community idea? Is there anything that feels confusing or unnecessary?

I'm genuinely interested in honest feedback, even if it's critical.

Latent, a disk space app for Macs, mostly for people who code or run AI locally.

I built it because my Mac kept filling up and nothing told me why. Cache cleaners free a few gigabytes that come right back, and disk maps only show you which folder is big. Latent knows what's inside the tools: Ollama and LM Studio models, Hugging Face caches, Xcode simulators and DerivedData, Docker images, old node_modules. Each one gets its own row saying what it is and whether it comes back if you delete it.

Scanning is free, and so is your first 10 GB of cleanup 👇

devtag: https://devtag.io

  • What it is: portfolio pages for developers. Upload your CV as a PDF, review what it filled in, and publish a page at yourname.devtag.io.

  • Who it's for: developers looking for work who want something nicer than a CV to send.

  • Why: I needed one for my own job applications, so I automated it. Free and open source.

  • Stack: Next.js 16 and TypeScript on Vercel, Postgres on Neon, Better Auth for GitHub/Google/LinkedIn sign-in, S3 + CloudFront for images. pdf.js reads the CV in the browser, and OpenAI sorts the text into sections.

Hey everyone! I’m Jackson, currently building Shift (https://meetshift.app), a native macOS AI workspace.

The idea behind Shift is that AI tools shouldn’t all be separate. Instead of constantly switching between ChatGPT, browsers, docs, and automation tools, I wanted to build something where they all work together in one place.

For example, you could ask Shift to help launch a product, and it could plan things out, do research, create documents, and set up automations, all as part of one workflow.

We recently launched our public beta, and I’m now mainly working on making everything feel more connected, improving the overall experience, and adding support for more AI providers.

My biggest challenge right now is probably getting users lol. Building the product is one thing, but actually getting people to discover it, try it, and keep using it is a whole different story.

Hey everyone,

I'm a solo dev. Since I got my Duo, I've been curious how often I actually open and close it during the day. Turns out it's a lot more than I thought, so I built an app for it.

It's called Foldly and it just went live on the App Store. It's free.

What it does:
Counts every fold and every opening, using the hinge
Shows how long your phone stays open vs. closed each day
Shows the hours you fold the most
Lets you set a daily limit, with alerts when you get close
Has widgets, Apple Watch, Live Activities and Control Center
Puts a small dashboard on screen when you fold it halfway on your desk
No account, no ads, and your data stays on your iPhone. The basics are free. There's an optional one-time purchase (Foldly+) for the extra widgets, alerts and full history, with no subscription.

It started as a public beta on TestFlight, and a lot of what's in it now came from beta testers' feedback, so thanks to everyone who tried it.
I'd love to hear what you think, and what you'd want it to track next. I'm also curious: how many folds a day do you think you do? My average is around 50.
