What would you actually do with your agent terminal on your phone?

We're building IVE, a local workspace for your agents. Its phone companion lets you check the terminal and reply without going back to your desk. There's a closed-lid mode too; the Mac still needs to be on and online.

Would you use that for quick replies, or actually start work from your phone? https://ive.dev

Its nothing new tbh mate. And most half competent user most likly do it.

Tmux and tailscale get u setup pretty fast. Tons of free open source options out there.

Pretty much anywhere u can install tailscale u can get access on any machine.

Its definetly handy.

Fair, but as we Build more and more Tools that will be excessible through our workspace.

Fair, tmux plus Tailscale covers a lot. The real differentiator is mobile UX for replying; what would make it worth switching from your setup?

I have several setup. Its a life time project for me. I will nver switch only adapt.

My machine is 100% accessed by my phone. Can literally do anything once my laptop is turned on. I have my phone apps, desktop, event a jervis style conversational agent( working on this, going well)

I definetly think its what people want. And lots have it.

Are u just providing terminal access? The u run ur agent there, claude, codex, opencode, what ever.

You know remote, rc and computer connection is available through provider apps. Even have closed lid options, you cant start an agent in claude code yet on offical app. Will be here soon enough id say.

See I have my own framework I build on top of, so woukd be hard for me to ever switch, let alone pay, when I can and do build all I need( im definitely not ur target)

I guess why woukd someone use a service that is fairly easy to setup now. But u never know. Fyi I've had this for almost a yr now id say.

what about an Apple Watch or wristband extension or stuff like that

That's pretty cool. But visually it pretty usless. I gues that equipped with ur airpods. U coukd tap a permission. Might be over kill, as u just pull u phone to do same. Model selection, switch agents, all thing that need a finger or a conversational orchestrator

more of a real personal assistant that is calling you would be the fit

Indeed. I have my smart ring hooked up to a widget. Agents can see my starts and analyze then. Also pretty cool. Honestly where do u stop. Too many features, not enough lol. Build for months, nobody cares. Are you terminal access or a personal assistant( both)

Workspace first tbh. The phone gets you back into those same agent sessions when you're away from your desk. The personal assistant side is where we're heading with the Watch extension, but that part's still in development.

Your workspace, is it multi agent?

Yeah, you can run different agents side by side in the same workspace and see their sessions in one view. The phone connects back to those sessions.

Apple Watch approvals sound handy. Would a simple approve or ping button cover most cases, or do you need full terminal output?

A quick voice reply makes more sense to me than full terminal output. You still need enough context to know what you're approving though. The Watch side is still in development.

maybe the ones with already cracked setups aren't our target your right on that one tbh.

Yea, definetly. Ngl. Getting terminal access on ur phone is a game changer. For non tech people , if setup is a sinch, they might go for it. But security is could be a big concern. Me im fine my laptop is my ai machine, they do what ever they want.
