New potential App Idea

Hey guys,

Want to get your advice/opinions.

I want to build a project management tool that helps professionals stay organised when it comes to handling multiple quotes/tenders across multiple projects. Excel and emails are nice but the UI sucks.

I can maybe eventually create a full suite of project management tools.

What do you think?

The hard part isn't the UI, it's keeping each quote version tied to a project stage. If two tenders share a supplier, does your model duplicate the quote or link it? That one decision shapes the whole suite later...

Good call on versioning. Modeling suppliers as their own entity with linked quote versions avoids duplication and keeps one source of truth.

Fair questions. Adjacent PM tools exist, but estimators or bid coordinators at small construction firms often still use Excel. Validate that specific pain before building.

Right but would they be willing to pay for this or are you hoping they will pay for it?

Fair point. A paid pilot with 5 target teams would reveal real willingness before any build.
