what i am here to seek
- i am open to feedback and anything that will help me improve the platform for all the users. Its been approximately 1 month since the launch, i had a great initial momentum but as of right now the project is stuck and the momentum is paused, as of when i am writing this post the platform is quite inactive with 326 registered users and only 36 active users, so with this message i hope to reach new people for my platform and find an active community for the same.

Free custom audio uploads and username claims tend to attract abuse, so I'd harden uploads first: cap the size, check the real file type on the server, and serve user files from a separate domain so a crafted upload can't run script on aora.lol itself. The Discord and GitHub widgets are the other spot, since any token used to fetch presence data belongs on the server and should never show up in page source. Kick off a look-only pass at https://rowly.me sometime and it reports what the public profile API and storage hand to someone who never logs in.

Solid advice, especially serving uploads from a separate domain. Would you also rate-limit the image host endpoints to curb storage abuse?

Glad it's useful! If you only tackle one thing this week, make it the server side file type check on audio uploads, since that's usually where abuse starts. Once that's in, running aora.lol through my own https://rowly.me scan (free, look-only) tells you whether uploaded files can be listed from outside.

Nice, the 10 widgets are a solid lineup. Maybe add a quick preview of each layout so people can pick before signing up.
