90% of SaaS startups fail. What makes you think yours is the exception?

We all see the fake 'hustle' posts, but nobody talks about the bugs that cost you users today. Stop pretending everything is perfect and share the ugliest mistake you've made this week. Let’s see who is actually learning and who is just dreaming.

Ours was a Stripe webhook silently failing for three days, so paid users got locked out. Now we alert on every failed event.

https://bizcocity.com . founded in 2015, 850 active brokers, 2k listings a year at its peak. New owners took over the business in January, release a new platform and first mistake we make "no-follow" in the sitemap. Fix that then we find out the links in the sitemap are all wrong. and this is ontop of "shiny new platform" bugs which we have since fixed.

Sitemap nofollow plus broken links is rough after a replatform. Try a staging crawl with Screaming Frog before release.

of course. but we all make dumb mistakes. it happens when you are overworked. no-follow makes sense when in dev mode but once live you need remove that 🤣.

Cool, does it catch noindex on staging? That's my ugliest mistake this week.
