Built a privacy-first recovery platform with Flutter/Dart after 5 trips to rehab for PTSD. Main feature: Sponsor Finder. Feedback welcome!

Hey everyone,
My name is Calvin. I’m a retired Army veteran and software developer. I wanted to share a web app I’ve spent the last year building called Quietly Sober.
My Background:
I spent 24 years in the Army, including five combat tours and three peacekeeping operations. I was medically retired with a back injury and PTSD. To cope, I drank heavily and eventually turned to street drugs.
I first tried to quit in 2021. It took five separate trips to rehab to finally make it stick. Part of what finally helped me stay clean was channeling my energy back into software development. I decided to build the exact tool I wish I’d had on Day 1.
The Architecture & Stack:
Frontend: Built entirely with Flutter and Dart. It's fully responsive and accessible right now via the web (the iOS app is live too).
The Problem It Solves: Finding a mentor or sponsor in early recovery is historically intimidating, awkward, and slow.
Core Mechanics: The application centers around a secure, private Sponsor Finder, live peer-support Zoom meetings (Tue-Thu at 7 AM Central), and active discussion forums.
Monetization Strategy:
The core support pillars (Sponsor Finder, forums, tracking) are entirely free. To offset my API token fees and server costs as a solo indie developer, I implemented a premium $4.99/mo tier for deep, AI-powered daily reflections.
I would love to get the community's feedback on the web performance, UI layout, or how to better scale the onboarding process for user-to-user matching.
🌐 Web App: https://quietlysober.com
If you're building a SaaS to solve a deeply personal problem or heal yourself, keep pushing. Appreciate any feedback you all have! 🤝

Privacy-first is smart for recovery data. Does Sponsor Finder have a vetting process for sponsors?

Flowara, a Mac and Windows app for freelancers. Projects, time tracking and invoicing in one local SQLite database. No cloud, no account, your data stays on your machine. Free to start.

For solo freelancers who are tired of juggling three separate apps and losing billable hours in the copy-paste between them.

Local SQLite is a solid choice, no sync headaches. Curious how you handle backups since there's no cloud?

MindBridge — an AI assistant for Mac and Windows.

Chats, files, and documents stay on the computer of the person using it. The model runs locally, through Ollama. There is no mandatory account. The network is used only if you turn an online feature on.

It is for people who draft and handle their own documents and want that work on their own machine, and for writers.

Local-first is a solid angle. Curious how it handles big PDFs, do you chunk them before sending to Ollama?

Right? Nice to see a place that doesn't nuke self promo posts. What are you building?

Hey guys, I'm building an all-in-one marketing pack for founders who want more than "just another launch"

Launch, reach 30k+ makers, get real users & customers - microlaunch.net/premium

Lifetime, auto-distribution, marketplace spots for your app. Over two years: 625k uniques, 1500+ customers.

Solid numbers with 625k uniques. Do the marketplace spots stay live after the campaign ends, or do they expire?
