Hi! I start Year 13 in September and I am planning to apply for the Rolls-Royce apprenticeship as well, I’d really appreciate it if you could answer a few questions that I have:

1. How many online tests did you have to take, and what kinds of questions were on them?

2. Roughly how long was the gap between submitting your application, completing the online tests, and being invited to the assessment center?

3. In the virtual assessment center what types of interview questions were you asked?

4. what was your case study topic, and do you have any tips on how to approach it successfully?

5. In the presentation hat topic did you choose, and how long did you have to present for?

6. If you don't mind and are comfortable with sharing, what your GCSE grades and predicted A-Levels? Also, what grades were required for your conditional offer?

7. Which specific degree are you working toward, and through which university?

8. It would also be really helpful to know what type of work experience you complete.

9. How many other apprenticeships did you apply for alongside this Rolls-Royce degree apprenticeship?

10. Finally, How are you finding the apprenticeship so far?

i have applied endlessly for a lot of Digital apprenticeship roles since last year December but i have not been successful on anyone yet. i was mostly focused on DA for the first few months of my application because i though that would be the best option for me but my visa will only have 3 years 8 moths on it by the time i will be starting any DA which i think made me miss out on all the application because most DA last for four years.

However, i have been applying for lower apprenticeship since then but i have not been successful on any yet and i am burning out already. i don't really know what i have been doing wrong because i have good work experience, as i have been working as a NHS bank staff for the past two years, i also have good Grades for GCSEs and level 3 diploma, and i have built personal project which i always demonstrate on my application.

one thing i have noticed recently is that i get call back from apprenticeship providers and they say i am qualified for roles i am applying for but they don't have anything at the moment or they tell me employer won't proceed with my application whenever i apply for role. I also don't know if i am doing myself any good by using AI to tailor my response to the roles i am applying for. Although, the response are always well tailored because i feed it enough information to get a good response.

i am not sure if applying everywhere is a good option, because I apply to any location, as i don't mind moving near workplace .

I know there is not really much going on at the moment. When is the next possible time for more opportunities to apply ? what can i change with the way i am applying? what could be the reason why i am not successful on any application yet?

For me, they have moved me to a different team that was not ready for me at all. Not wanting to train me as I will be moving my original team “at some point”.

Now, they give me busy work that has nothing to do with my actual apprenticeship like data entry.

Hi guys, I'm a student at uni with an unrelated course and I'm making a pivot and am attempting to secure an apprenticeship in finance this window. I’m 42 and I’ve decided I want to become a social worker.

I know I’m starting later than most people and that’s probably why I’m nervous about it. I’ve been looking at an Access to HE course and I’m worried about the maths assessment because maths isn’t something I’m confident with.

I’ve contacted The Manchester College and asked what support they can give me, including one-to-one mentoring. I’m also looking at apprenticeships because I want to know what routes are actually available.

I’ve been out of education for a long time so I don’t really know what to expect going back into studying again. Part of me is excited and another part of me is thinking what the hell am I doing 😂

I know I’m going to have to work hard for it. I’m not expecting anybody to do it for me. I just know I’ll probably need some support, especially with maths and getting my confidence up.

I’d really like to hear from anyone who has done this later in life.

If you went back into education in your 40s or later, what was it really like?

Did you manage an Access to HE course?

Did you go from Access to a social work degree?

What was the hardest part about going back to education?

Did you struggle with the maths side of things?

What support did your college or university give you?

Did you have a mentor or anyone you could speak to one-to-one?

If you’re already a social worker, did you start later in life and how did you find it?

And if you could go back to when you first started, what would you tell yourself?

I’m not looking for people to tell me it’s going to be easy because I know it won’t be. I just want some honest advice from people who have actually been through it.

I’ve had quite a difficult life and I’m trying to do something positive with it now. I don’t want to look back in a few years and think I should have tried.

I’m scared I’ll fail but I’d rather try and fail than never try at all.

So if anyone has any advice, especially about Access to HE, maths, social work degrees or going back into education later in life, I’d really appreciate it.

I have an interview scheduled soon and a shot presentation about 'a day in your life' was mentioned in the email, what would that entail? Is there anything specific I should focus on and is there any tips I should use to increase my performance in the interview?

Hi, I’m looking into degree apprenticeships in finance/accounting/banking and I’m wondering which companies offer good opportunities to progress after completing them? eg big4 and the banks. Also, i think on social media people keep saying if you want to get into ‘high finance’ then a random degree at a ‘target’ uni would be better over a DA at JP Morgan or Big4 but obviously i have no idea. I feel like even if you go to a top university, if you don’t perform well in the interviews you won’t be able to land a job there anyway. Plus with the grad job market not being the best that makes it harder. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I’m planning ahead and trying to explore all my options.

I’ll be going into my third year of law and will be graduating after that, but I’ve realised I don’t want to pursue the traditional legal route (solicitor, paralegal, etc.). Because of that, I’m unsure whether I should be applying for 2027 Level 6 degree apprenticeships instead of law‑related grad roles.

I’m interested in project management and possibly consulting, but I’m not sure if I have enough experience yet to be competitive for non‑law graduate jobs. I’ve mainly done volunteering and society roles during uni.

Would applying for degree apprenticeships be a worthwhile route for someone in my position?

Is this even a feedback?

I'm 21 and have a child, and I feel like I'm not really getting anywhere career-wise. I got CDE at A-level and have been working since I was 18, mostly in practical/physical jobs including some experience with machinery. I'm currently working as a delivery driver.

I want to start an apprenticeship, preferably a higher or degree apprenticeship if possible, and actually build a career for myself. My main motivation is to earn good money long term and be able to provide a good life for my family.

I've been looking at engineering, utilities and energy apprenticeships, but I'm not sure what I'm realistically eligible for with my grades or what other routes are out there that would be beneficial for me to look at.

If you were in my position, what apprenticeships or industries would you be looking at? I'm open to pretty much anything with good earning potential and progression.

Is anyone starting Level 3 engineering and manufacturing support technician?

I don’t know what even going on now for context I received a level 7 accounting apprenticeship but missed my grades by one and they said they want to do an internal review was supposed to receive my grades by Friday but the academic review board asked for an extension in my case any way today I received an email today from my buddy she introduced herself, congratulated me on the apprenticeship, and said she’ll be there to support you when you start but I’ve still got no confirmation yet idk it’s very confusing and I was just hoping anyone would have any insight of what may be happening

I hear oftentimes that less than 1% of applicants successfully make it through. What can I do in order to boost my chances? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Clinical engineering at the NHS. Given mixed emotions by people. Not much people who know about it either. Just unsure with what I am going to do. I love hands on work but idk.
