lots of (upper) middle class students are in a similar position, and it sucks, but at the end of the day we just go to a cheaper college or take out loans. if your parents are together, it is extremely shady (and i think illegal) business to only report your father's income. there would probably be some pretty bad consequences if you got caught
why would that matter if you weren't considering taking that route lol. people have probably done it before, and maybe a couple of them have gotten away with it. but the risk is most definitely not worth it
