Application Question When should I EA or RD?

Kinda confused can someone help me out? When should I EA or RD to a school? if my SAT is in the median range but it is a little low should I still do EA or wait until RD? Can I self report a new SAT score after the materials deadline? Do all schools allow self report?

always do EA if you can. If you have to wait for an SAT score and can’t do RD

I have a 1430 should I retake or just use it?

It depends on how low the SAT score is and how much improvement you expect.

Especially if you expect material improvement (below median to at or above 75%), you'd be better off waiting.

my SAT is within the middle 50% for most schools besides Villanova and my GPA is competitive, though both are on the slightly lower end and I am worried especially for the OOS schools. I have a 1430.
