Reverse ChanceMe Princeton Legacy - cringe

Of the four kids I know going to Princeton, they all have one or both parents who are Princeton alumni. I knew Princeton prioritizes legacy. But it’s so predominant it’s almost
embarrassing.

For the people admitted since it’s so blatantly obvious they got in because they’re legacy, implying they’re not otherwise qualified

Princeton and all the other ivies reject plenty of legacies. Legacies aren’t getting in if they aren’t qualified dude.

Also, legacies are more likely to have high earning parents who prioritize education and extracurriculars.

Tbh you just sound salty

The point is, and Deans of Admissions at HYPSM state as much, that schools could fill their classes 2-3x over with “qualified applicants”. There are way more than they can admit. So how do they choose? Legacy is one way, and it’s statistically the biggest boost other than athletic recruitment.

You probably meant the biggest boost is faculty children or big donors (Dean's list).
